When traveling through campus recommend you keep car windows up. Otherwise an administrator is liable to throw a diploma into your car and then you'd be an Auburn graduate.

I'm sure this sounded better in your head, where it should have stayed.

Just oof.

The 2 times I've been in Auburn for a 2:30 kick, every place near campus we tried was pretty crowded. Forget where we ended up both times, but service was also understandably slow. I'd make plans to eat/drink before hitting campus.

everyone has fricked his wife at least...not Haley though. I just checked the records and it looks like some properties arent the same owners when I was there.

Mamma Goldbergs is my go to spot, awesome sandwiches and good draft beer.

I don't get the love for Momma Goldberg's. One opened in Huntsville a few years ago and I don't think it lasted a year in one of the best locations in town. Maybe the franchise model doesn't work and you have to go to the original? The one in Huntsville seemed like a poor man's Firehouse which is really saying something about how bad it was. Also pretty sure the one here didn't serve beer but not 100%.

I don't think Momma G's is particularly good but hung out there in college all the time at the multiple locations. Cheap nachos and pitchers late at night always hit the spot.

As far as sandwiches go, get the chicken breast on a bagel.

Driving down from Calera Saturday morning what time would you suggest I get to campus to have plenty of time to park and beat the gameday crowd?

Going to drive back to Calera that evening after the game. Where's the best place to park around Samford and College Street?

The franchise chains have been really hit or miss. There are a few here in Bham, but only one i'd actually go to with any consistency. The others don't do a good job with the sandwich. The original though is always solid. Most of the chains don't use enough sauce and don't steam long enough. It is definitely a style of sandwich you either love or hate though.

The one in downtown homewood is usually pretty decent. The one in downtown bham is crap. I took a picture one time because I legit got half the amount of nachos at the bham one as I did the homewood one. Even the second location in Auburn isn't always great. Definitely a place you need to try the original to get the best experience IMO.

The Thach location in Auburn does have a full bar and great craft selection, though.

No wonder so many AU fans are obese! That thing must have 3000 plus calories.
My tip for your trip is to park around UGA fans in a well lit area. I've had my car keyed after a UGA win. No doubt who did it. The letters AU were obvious

I don't either, although I certainly don't mind drinking there

Yeah OP, make sure you park near the UGA fans when you go to the Auburn-LSU game.

Being an LSU fan living in Alabama and whose daughter goes to Auburn, I recommend finding the LSU tailgate crowd and hang with them. Better food and maybe some free beer. Oh, and stay away from my daughter.

You'll need to provide pics of your daughter so we know which girl to stay away from

Haley Center. Go to the 4th or 5th floor where the Professors offices are to find an empty bathroom.

I do this too

Not only do you get a pleasant place to do your business, I get a blast of nostalgia walking those halls

A ways away, but where I used to tailgate. The forestry and wildlife service building on Duncan usually has a GTA leave a door open. Bathrooms are spotless, new, and there might be two people including yourself in the entire building at a time
