Looking forward to making it out to Auburn this weekend. Hope we can make a game of it!

Looking for some recommendations on places to go before the game to grab a bite and a beer.

TIA

Its going to be limited and packed since game is at 2:30 central.

Best bet is probably going to be pizza, bbq, or burgers.

Niffers is okay. Halftime on College St. is a pretty solid sports bar. Q's has decent bar food. Momma G's is great if you're okay with spending some time on the throne afterwards. Tbh Auburn is still a small town and there aren't all that many places to grab a bite and a beer so I'd say Halftime, Quixote's, or Momma G's are your best bets.

If a white Chevy Tahoe starts following you while walking down the street, you are about to get your arse kicked.

Park near downtown. Go to Toomer's Corner, get a Lemonade, then go to a bar downtown. While there aren't many, there are a few. Stop and chat at a tailgate or two on your way to the stadium. Be at your seat by 30 minutes prior to Kick-off to see the eagle flight. Enjoy your trip to the Loveliest Village.

Best options for downtown eating and some beer:

Little Italy- Good pizza and a few solid beer options, pitchers
Draft House-Great beer selection and good wings, burgers

These are the best two options because they usually can seat you quickly even on gamedays and have TV's.

If you're in the downtown area, Live Oaks has a good outdoor patio with tv's and what not. It is a decent spot to post up to have some drinks. Food is pretty decent.

There is a Moe's BBQ downtown. Yes it is a chain, but their food is pretty good. Wings are solid. Next door is Little Italy pizza. Solid pizza (get neapolitan slices) and reasonably priced pitchers if you're looking for something like that.

Halftimes is your pretty standard bar/pub fare.

if you're focusing more on drinks, Quixotes or Sky Bar are probably your best bets. The upstairs part of Sky Bar is a great addition and worth going up and checking out to grab a drink. They'll have a bunch of TV's everywhere.

The Hound is another place you could try. Really good southern food and drinks.

Auburn Draft House is another option. It is a few doors down from Little Italy. Food there has been good but nothing special when i've gone, but the beer selection is pretty decent.

Mamma Goldbergs is my go to spot, awesome sandwiches and good draft beer.

My suggestion would be: Mamma's Love and good IPA

Possibly, but i've had some decent luck with it last season. i think its location helps on gamedays as there is less just pure foot traffic to it. Everywhere will be packed though.

Can't go wrong either. The original Mamma G's is definitely worth hitting up. Be warned though, if you hate steamed sandwiches, you won't like the sandwhich.

Also, get an order of the nachos.

For first time I'd say get there several hours early and park off College St, near Samford St so you can walk the 3 or four blocks to downtown and eat and drink, then walk down to the stadium from there, and back to your car after. Kinda makes a triangle pattern and College St is a primary artery that takes you out to I-85. Def don't miss the eagle flight.

Enjoy your trip. Gonna be a crisp 92 degrees at kickoff so drink up.

If it was a later in the day there would be more options to find a place to dine. but its going to be crowded and he will wait more than he will have time to tailgate, walk campus, etc...
