Very true and I'm not discrediting what Auburn did last season. Just saying they are a tough team to rank because of those close games.

Tamu has yet to do anything of note. Stop acting like yall are back to back division leaders. Your accomplishments are on par with what Houston Nutt did while he was here. And Nutt didn't have arguably the best qb in cfb history to rest on.

Auburn won the conference championship and returns most of its offense that did that. If we were any other school, Finebaum wouldn't rank us any lower than #2.
Finebaum is a troll, but even more than that he is a sower of propaganda. Ranking Auburn at 5 will sure cause some boony phone calls on his shitty radio show, but it also helps set the narrative for the season that he wants.
Fortunately we have games to decide who wins and loses.
