To me it seems as if it's just callers, calling in to talk about their day.

"How ya doin there Mr Finebaum? I want to talk about what I got at the food bank today. I got gold!!! That's right Finebaum, gold. What's gold you ask. Well gold is this can of kidney beans. I'm gonna start a fire in the grill that I found on the side of the highway, and make bbq beans. Whoooooo buddy!!! You take a pot, also from finders keepers. You put them beans in it, throw it on the grill. By the way I'm using news paper and dried leaves to cook with. Add so cat-soup, un-yohn, gahlic, molassy and some sweet, sweet brown shug-ie to the pot. Leave for three hours, adding paper and leaves regularly, and stiring between every Milwaukee's Best. I tell you what Finebaum. I'll tell you. Best beans ever."

You could of left the rest out. All the show consist of is callers calling in and Paul taking their calls. The local sport radio station canceled their contract with The Finebaum Show last month, glad they did that.

Finebaum runs a great show. This board is so jealous of him and wish they had his job.

It's much bigger than sports radio. It's a lengthy sociological experiment on abject poverty in the Deep South and the callers are the subjects

A Finebaum segment can go in many, many directions on a given day, from politics to a Marine being interviewed and all points in between including race relations.

I used to despise Finebaum because of his SEC homerism, and I still think he is an SEC homer, BUT, after tuning in a lot more over the last year, I think he is a rather high quality personality. He loves the game, knows his history, and I like that he covers programs from across the land, even though his devotion clearly lies with the SEC.

He ate his crow on live television after Oklahoma defeated Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. He's not afraid to speak his mind. I think when he gets owned, he easily owns up himself and admits it.

I think a lot of the callers are hideous, and wear blinders. They act like if you are not SEC, you are not worth a mention. Most of the callers make the show somewhat not interesting.

Finebaum himself is great to listen to. It's quality radio and television.

Still not as bad as Amy Lawrence talking about her hair in the middle of the night.

I used to listen, back when it was a decent show, but I don't listen now....its just hot garbage, and a person with an IQ that reflects mild retardation, might enjoy it, but no, its not sports radio....what it is, is a reality show, hosted by a penis with ears, that is getting rich off of dumbasses

When Finebaum actually conducts interviews, he does a good job. He does well on SEC Now/Nation as well. When he takes calls it devolves into Jerry Springer/Maury. The problem is that the calls are the most famous portion of the show and make up the majority of the show. The show became unwatchable since he expanded it nationally, because people from other areas of the country want an opportunity to laugh at the South and have their stereotypes about it reinforced. All it is now is people with outrageous, inbred accents hurling insults at each other and each others' teams.

Interviews are great. His callers (90%) are redneck trash who think they are famous because they have a mullet and a nickname on a call in show.

I've turned him off now ever since last season's love fest with Saban & bama combined with his Jerry Springer like callers dominating what was supposed to be a SEC network. That continues, apparently, at least according to a UGA friend. But as for the content of his show: he really lost me when he said he cried as a child when reading MLK's I Have A Dream Speech. Practically his whole show that day was on MKL> On a SEC sports show. I have nothing against Rev. King; I especially appreciate his message back then in comparison to what & who is speaking for blacks today. But that had no place on the SEC Network.
