Finebaum is really a genius. He realizes controversy sells and he has become a millionaire simply by stirring shite up. Anybody who gets mad but continues to listen is a fricking moron. Finebum doesn't care if you like him or not. He is fine as long as you continue to listen and he continues to cash that paycheck

Its amusing how many people dislike Paul Finbaum. The guy is spot on and accurate with his information and most of his opinions. He is definitely an Alabama supporter, as they have ruled the roost for some years now. The one thing I don't like about his show is they let these stupid white trash callers yell in for what they think are entertainment purposes. This subforum about Paul Finbaum is a microcsm of what are country is like right now. I'm a moderate Libertarian, but the way so many people talk about our president is just ignorant, same with our last president. With the unemployement rate down less than 6% for the first time since the late 90s, no major wars going on, it really doesn't get any better than this. If your situation sucks, you're probably lazy and stupid. If Paul Finbaum says something you disagree with, chances are you're wrong. Deal with it. This post was edited on 4/21 at 8:18 am

This is what is wrong with the youth of America today. Don't have the conviction to stand up and speak and be counted. You would rather people just keep their heads down and ignore the basic principle of what this country was founded on.

Paul Finebaum only researches about 6 schools and just spouts off speculation and opinions about the rest. That is not being accurate, that's called being a moron. There are a lot of people that dislike him and have basically voiced that to the powers to be at ESPN. I heard his show when he was basically crying about he didn't understand why he was disliked so much.

I absolutely hate his voice. His assistant is way better than he is. Finebaum literally adds nothing to the program. It would be the exact same if he said nothing. And the bias...ugh...terrible journalism.

Good Lord, its a sports talk show. It has no bearing on the world, politics or the economy.

I just think ESPN could do better for the SEC network. I've seen better regional network shows than what the SEC network is putting out there every day Monday through Friday.

It's cheap to produce. That's why Finebaum is on the air. The whole show probably doesn't cost a million $ to film, produce and air.

He used to be awesome writing for the Post Herald.

You're joking, right? He's been a tPOS from Day One.

A poor man's Howard Cosell, for those of you who remember back that far.

Knows less about sports than the guy driving your garbage truck does.

+1

I'm amazed at the number of people on this board that give that putz the time of day.

I have no idea what you're trying to say here, but but civilizations evolve. If you want things to be exactly how they were in 1776, I'm sure you can buy some land and do that. I will agree that more people should speak, and actually understand what they are speaking about.

The guy has his own show on a national TV network, if the masses really disliked him, spewed false information, or his ratings dropped, he would be dismissed from ESPN. That has yet to happen.

It was much more entertaining on the radio. It was all bammers calling in and most of them represented the majority of the bammer fan base. The TV version is terrible.

Is finebaum still on the 2pm-6pm slot?
Let me know when he's off so I can start watching again.

The current version of his show is boring. Back in the days when he had Neal Vickers has his sidekick and would troll AU and UA fans, it was a hilarious show.

He has made a nice living being the original Jerry Springer. I agree, I stopped listening to him years ago.

I also believe that he "tries" to get the Phyllis's of the world more air time to make the Bama and AU folks look pretty bad. Won't call any names but was told at a B'ham city function several years ago, like 2000, that he friggin hates Bama but plays up to the audience. Remember, this guy is a UT grad. Never ever saw one of these become a Bama fan.

Didn't you call me out for "whining" the other day?

Like I said, LSU fans are the Kings of Whine.

El Campo, regarding the cesspool comment, he actually called La. a toxic waste dump, and admitted as such last fall. He said that Spears called him out on it but explained that some LSU "nut" had made a threatening call to him. He admitted that was no excuse, yet has never apologized for it. As for his show, we all know he's a troll, but when his show promotes bama football 4 hrs a day, 5 days a wk, mth after mth after, it becomes a huge recruiting tool for bama. And don't think for a minute recruits around the South don't listen & hear his propaganda. I ignore him but unfortunately, few recruits if any are aware of his reputation. FAIW: last wk he & a regular caller discussed a Bob Dylan concert the caller had attended recently for close to 20 minutes. And,no, I was not watching, just repeating what a friend was laughing about.

They definitely need something for the offseason because his show is too football driven. There are other sports and other things the SEC network could promote during this time.
