Of the last 50 CWS champs, 9 were from east of Louisiana (4 of these were Miami). There's a greater than 80% chance that stat will hold this year as well.

What I find crazy is Oklahoma State only giving up 6 runs throughout the entire tournament.

Okie St's HC was recruiting coordinator for Pat Murphy's stacked teams at Ariz St, and was then recruiting coordinator for Tim Corbin's stacked teams at Vandy.

Plus his bro is an MLB all star, and his dad was a coach at Miami, Ariz St, Okie St, Texas, NC St, and now Auburn.

The guy has serious college baseball credentials. If Texas was smart they'd steal him.

Isn't he Matt Holliday's brother? Or someone from St. Louis.

Before last nite, over all scoring was down significantly & the announcers...paid by the NCAA...were saying it was all due to superior pitching. As Skip has been saying ever since they moved to the new park, nothing will happen offensively till the fences are brought in due to the way the park was located...the winds are always blowing in. I like college baseball but too many 1-0 or 2-1 games are hard to watch. Fla had by far the best pitching staff in Omaha yet lost 2 straight because they only scored 4 runs total, 2 on a HR in the bottom of the 9th in their last game.

I bet you could have made bank if you would have put down a grand right before the supers on only 1 SEC team in Omaha, and then them going 2&Q.
