Wright can’t throw the ball, you will see stacked boxes every game.

Against Illinois his stats: 29/44, 261 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs
That’s not bad when you consider Illinois had the #3 defense in the country

Will is going to get blitzed constantly, cole smith can’t replace sharp at center, it’s going to be a long season. loss of Wheat, Charlton Banks, weak pass rush, Can’t run 3-3-5 with all the safeties gone. defense returns four starters. Iffy at corner without Forbes.
5-7 is about right. next season could be 3-9 as just about everybody on offense is gone.
Teams lose players every year.
We return the top tackling duo in the SEC at LB, and have 3 Rfr guys who will contribute, along with two other co-starters at their spots. We have a lot of young depth at safety and added two starters who transferred in from the SEC, and BIG 10. Cornerback returns #2,#3, and #4 depth plus 2 transfers from LSU and Miami. Plenty of material.
DL returns starting NT and starting DT, one starter at DE and an LSU transfer and returning Alabama transfer. Lots of younger depth on roster that will trickle in along the way.
We also return the best kick returner in the country, and one of the better punt returners from '22.
Haha the OL only lost one starter and we have more than one guy who can play center. This will definitely be a group to watch early with the schematic changes, but we are extremely experienced with short yardage, high percentage passes to move the ball and negate those issues. The RB group has experience speed and talent. I'm not worried one bit with that group.
We brought in TE transfers from Georgia and TCU and rotated other guys in for depth. WR is loaded with returning starters and transfers. Another group that is of no concern whatsoever.
I expect struggles but this team can win 6-7 games in the worst case.

Most oddsmakers have State at the bottom, offense will be a quagmire and defense only returns four starters. then you have the Jr High coaching staff with zero P5 experience.
I expect it to look like the Bryan Harsin shitshow we endured for the last 2 years. Sorry MSU, I hope it doesn't turn out that way, and I hate that we lost the Pirate.

Yep, shows a lack of intelligence or he would have rated us higher so it wouldn’t make them look like the shite that they are.

Yes, you have some redshirt freshman you can plug in, lol. Did you see cole smith play center previously ? Not good. Without sharp the o line got plastered against Kentucky last year.
What a mess

State is gonna surprise the frick out of some people. They finished 3rd and are an offensively experience laden team. That experience doesn’t just forget how to win football games. Leach will be missed but it’s not like Will was throwing dimes all over the field.

Tell me you've never followed Mike Leach's players after they're done playing for Leach, without telling me you've never followed Mike Leach's players after they're done playing for Leach.

Don’t worry aggie, state’s tradition of serving up that L to the aggies will remain intact regardless of who is HC.

Wouldn’t be a state mention thread if you weren’t here to bash Arnett.

Leach had A&M's number his entire career. It's uncanny really.

This is one of the safest predictions I've seen posted so far in this thread.
LSU returns our starter at QB. Dumbo Fisher has apparently found his QB and has depth on the dline
