Fellow LSU fans, why do you hate Saban?

I respect and actually like Saban and I’m grateful for what he did for LSU. He laid the foundation for us to build upon, despite whipping up on us for the past decade. It’s his job to beat us, it’s not personal.
Of course I was very disappointed to see him leave us for the Dolphins, and then to Bama, but hey, it’s business.
I admire his no-nonsense approach to coaching and there’s no denying that it works for him. He demands excellence from his players and usually gets it.
I hold no grudge against him for going to Bama. The job was open and it’s a top coaching gig.
So do the rest of my LSU brethren still hate him? Do you have any gratitude towards him for turning around our program and winning us a Natty?

Pretty much. I’d much rather bama hired Jim Grobe ffs, but it was the best job and a typical Saban project.
A lot of his legacy still lives from the Cox center to the changes in admissions for student athletes to the home winning streak over Auburn, Moffitt, etc
The 2001 SEC Title, Sugar Bowl and winning it all in 2003 was pure ecstasy.
I’m excited about him being inducted into the La sports HoF and you could tell he seemed humbled by that.
The only fans who truly loathe him actually forget about the 2 year Miami Dolphins portal and swear he left BR straight for Ttown. These are your Miles maniac/Cheeri-O types.
Basically Nick TYFYS

I don't hate him in the least. He could have handled the way that he left LSU better...but that was 15 years ago. If I wanted to still have a sandy vagina over something that happened decades back, I'd become an Oklahoma Sooners or Minnesota Vikings fan.
What he and Mark Emmert did while in Baton Rouge raised LSU's game considerably...and were still benefitting from it. To that end, kudos to both of them.
I root against him and Bama if it benefits LSU. Outside of that, more power to him.

Frick you
I don’t hate anybody
And don’t you ever use that term hate when you are referring to me. (I’m pointing my finger at you now)
I have only love and forgiveness in my heart.
That’s how I was brought up in my religion.
I pray for Nick Saban every day.

Loved him at LSU, didn’t really care about him while in Miami or ‘07 at Bama. Hated him in ‘08, ‘09, ‘12-18. He’s growing on me again though. Simple as that.

Because he lied to LSU and the fans. He spent more time trying to close the deal with the dolphins than trying to win a NC in 2004. Then when it did not work out for him he wanted a mulligan. He wanted Skip to fire Les Miles so he could have his old job back with a national championship team that Les built. Then when he did not get is way he went to Bama. Then he proceeded to beat our asses for like 8 games straight. It is not hate, because I do not know the man, it is more like apathy.

I hate Bama, therefore I hate Saban.

I hate him.
Why:
1. He’s short
2. He’s a liar
3. He’s a cheater
4. He’s a loser
5. He’s a cuck

I don’t hate him. I’m actually grateful for him making LSU relevant again. I hate that he went to Bama but it is what it is.

I most certainly don’t.
And never have.
And likely never will.

I think Saban is a great coach and respect him very much. What I hate is that he has brought so much success to the most unsuccessful group of people in America, the Gump. We have to hear them gloat year in and year out. Saban has them shouting from the porch on the double wide to all that would hear. They don’t deserve the success he has brought them. They are the Texas or Notre Dame of the SEC.
