I'm aware of the rankings.

Not sure what they show other than CU was a terrible program after Barnett was fired and that Oregon's offenses weren't awful under Helfrich, as you claimed.

Their offense took a huge step back. Never outside the top 5 under Chip, and now at 38. Possibly it was just one minor hiccup, or possibly he isnt that great of a coach.

So why should one outlier overshadow two years in the top 5 and 1 year in the top 10 with a revolving door at QB? They were still 15th nationally in YPG in 2016. Oh the horror.

Matt Lubick was the OC. Maybe he was the problem. Or maybe scholarship reductions caught up to them. Or maybe it was just a bad year all-around for Oregon.
