I like this topic in season, as I may want to go on a road trip for an away game or just for a random weekend like this weekend where A&M has a BYE.

It would be cool to have a running list to reference

Mettenberger, Jarvis, and Odell were always there after games. I remember seeing Sonic Sam looking depressed as hell after the Florida loss in 2012. He must have stepped right off the plane and started drinking, still wearing his LSU sweats and all.

Briefly around 2006 or 2007 they ran a deal where for any sporting event, whatever quarter/inning/period/whatever the game was in that's how much a pitcher costs (only valid during teh week).
As recent as 2012 they had Braves specials with $1 during the first 3 innings, $2 during the 4-6, and $3 during the last 3.

Those west coast road trips where we played games at 11pm for a week straight were awesome.

Could we make a tRant away game bar guide for folks for each SEC school city?

You wouldn't have to limit it to bars either. Lots of folks here travel with family and we could do a "Where to eat/visit/drink when in (SEC town)" thread to sticky during football season.

THose are some odd bars to catch a game in Nola., except Tracey's. I figured you'd at least include the Rusty Nail and Cooter Browns. Fat Harry's is a good dive, but I never thought of it for football. Same with Half Moon.

I like the Nail, if you can stand the Alabama fans.

Cooters has recently notably increased their prices, for the record.

I didn't know these were my favorite bars to catch a game? I thought I was just listing some of my favorite bars.

Notice everyone says this because it's the only bar in Auburn.

I had heard it was closing or closed. Is that accurate?

closes new years eve. The owner is shopping around his liquor license right now. He gets a one time transfer. Its grandfathered in as far as closing time laws

That's a shame. Hasn't it been at that location for like 75 years?

Allgood in Athens. Pulled some tail out of there, hit it again when she came to Vail with some friends this last ski season.
