It’s sad because of the obvious, the loss of life’s there, but it was also the end of one of the Aggie traditions most people liked. That would have been badass to see in its non lethal prime.

It restarted in 2002, unrecognized by the university but still strong. It's a good 25% shorter but still an impressive scene.

Partha is a good poster. He wouldn't post this to troll. I agree it was a tragedy and should never be used to troll A&M.

Thank you Lucado.

Don't get me wrong, there are things I'd post to troll about, but not this.

Its off campus and not affiliated with the university in any way. My oldest goes to A&M and said its not a big deal like it used to be before 1999.

I guess it's subjective, but generally anything that involves people getting seriously hurt or dying should be avoided. Not that people don't use such events for trolling, but that's usually a good guideline.

Because 12 young people lost their lives. In what universe is that something you should use to make fun of A&M? There's plenty of other material available.

WTF? Why are you trying to split hairs finding an excuse to acceptably “troll” 12 college kids dying doing something they loved? Why would you want that to be ok?

Damn, I don’t get some people.

Not at all, just want to know the "tragic" rules in play.

I’ve watched many videos on that channel. It’s like the old Dragnet: “Just the facts”. Y’all should watch the Cocoanut Grove tragedy on the channel. Everything wrong that could happen DID happen.

It's got some interesting videos, sometimes on very obscure subject matters.

It'll be interesting to see if it substantially grows with the UT/A&M rivalry starting back up. Despite still being on campus, the Texas Hex Rally lost interest post 2012 as well.

My Aggie cousins took my Sip Father to Bonfire prior to '99, he was impressed to say the least.

There is a safe way to do it. Dartmouth has been doing it for just as long and continues to do it. And once you reach the “big arse” stage of a bonfire, then it is impressive no matter what. That heat hits you hundred feet away from it, and the blaze is enough to make any pyro smile.
