Regardless of all the smack talk and hate that is exchanged, I have to say I respect everyone's passion for their own team. It says a lot to be a die hard fan, because it shows you will be there through the highs AND lows. That being said, I'd like to hear how everyone became a fan of their respective team. Not to mention how you lol didn't decide to throw in the towel or your remote control at the tv at your team when they sucked? And the ney Sayers talking shite about your team, but you still didn't bandwagon.....

For real?

I was born in Knoxville and my parents had UT season tickets; but mom was from Lexington and as soon as dad had the opportunity to transfer with his job he took it when I was still a baby. So I guess I was destined to be a Wildcats fan.

I grew up going to UK football games with my dad (I would alternate games with my brother) and basketball when we could get tickets. I remember the 10-1 season in 1977 (I'm a child of the 60's.) Later I got my BA from UK (and briefly attended EKU - a perennial I-AA/FCS national power at least in those days. There was a time when some fans Eastern would've beat Kentucky if they played.)

You really can't be a UK football fan, especially one who likes it better than basketball, and let things like crappy seasons and naysayers get to you. But I admit support has waned at times, and I gave up my season tickets around 2009 so maybe I am a little bandwagon ??

Started watching UGA football as a young child and became fond of it. Went to college at UGA and got my bachelors from there in 2007.

My granddad and dad graduated from SC in 1956 and 1980 respectively. Both had season tickets to football, and my grandfather did for basketball, too. I became a fan at birth and graduated in 2007 myself.

I don't remember a time that I didn't love the Razorbacks. I was born this way.

Fell asleep on Saturday nights listening to LSU on the radio...
Woke up next morning to see the final score in the sports page.
One, maybe two black and white pics in the paper!

Most of my family went to Auburn. My uncle played bb for Auburn back in the day. I don't really remember much about the 80s (I was too young), but I was watching the 94 LSU interception game with my cousin. After that, I was hooked.

Wanted to be an engineer and didn't really have a choice for an in state school... went to State during the Croom years so a lot of scar tissue has developed that could never be removed... enjoying our day in the sun of mediocrity
