for realz tho, LSU/Arky is as fake as fake can be.

For certain, the lamest "rivalry" in the SEC.

Alabama-Tennessee not a rivalry? Are you serious? You must be pretty young if you really believe that.Overall records and strings of wins has absolutely nothing to do with it. Tn-Al is one of the oldest rivalries in the country.

This certainly isn't a fake rivalry, but I never understood how Florida/Georgia got to be so big. Is it the neutral site atmosphere?

Am I missing something? This is as big as the Iron Bowl to me.

The whole point of the thread was to troll by trashing the Tennessee Alabama rivalry.

I agree...they have tried so hard with corporate sponsors and a name/trophy to make this a thing, but I don't think anyone is really feeling it. The only real "moments" have been on the basketball court, and that was only like twice with Haith and Anderson.

Ole Miss had a few moments, but nothing special considering Marshall Henderson did what he did to everyone. That football game could have had a flicker, but just didn't do it.

No rivals in the SEC IMO.

So much this, the entire thing never felt like a real rivalry and it was pretty much forced on us.

I figured you'd get a few UT fans with this, but it looks like you've got a Bama fan or two already with it. I honestly thought it was too obvious of a hook, but I guess I was wrong.

Rivalries are kind of dependent on the sport in some cases.

I see great promise in LSU/A&M though. We really need Auburn in the East, they could still play Bama as cross division rival and it would allow Missou and Arkansas to have the war they are destined for.

UVA vs UNC is called the oldest rivalry in the south. I think it's a couple years older

Meh...he's a South Carolina fan, so he obviously doesn't really know what a rivalry is.

Just looked it up. They got us by a year. Neither in SEC of course.

Border war, neutral site, history, etc.

I also think the fact that the vast majority of the players are either representing their home state, playing against their home state team that didn't want them, or "betrayed" their state adds something to it on the field.
