"Encourage economic activity" doesn't scream desperation game as you said. Ease up on the meth

Fear..I know it when I smell it.

I don't want to play Arkansas State regularly. I'd rather us try to get in some more home and homes with programs we don't play very often or haven't played in a long time.
I just prefer the interesting match-ups instead of most years this just being a blow out game with the occasional upset.. I'd be ok with scheduling a series with them but i'd rather play in fayetteville because i'd also like the LR games phased out entirely.

Our Gov. is behind this...He is an ASU alum.
I say we beat the hell out of em for 5 years and they'll shut up about it go forward

This one-time benefit game is being advertised as an economic savior
Proceeds to likely go to the Childrens Hospital in LR. Sounds like hard times for Arkansas.

You're probably confusing Andy Griffith and the town of Mayberry.

While I'm on the troll Ar-Kansas bandwagon....BUT
=/=
To say that this game won't pick up some sales in LR for a day is crazy. Although the location of WM stadium is detrimental to that mission, but people will go downtown and they will eat more food and drink more beer than on a normal Saturday....IMO.

It's okay, let him keep creeping on the Arkansas board to find material.

It's all posturing by douchebag politicians to get votes. Similar to the anti-abortion bullshite that will be struck down. fricking politicians all need to be hung from light poles. Day of the rope!

Those of us in New Jersey thank you for comparing us to Arkansas. See you in the fall when the Rut wins again.

This sounds almost as stupid as the Baylor politician claiming that allowing A&M to leave the Big 12 and go to the SEC would cost the city of WACO $300 million/year.

Don't worry, this poll is not what is making the bill pass. It will get tossed out.

43% of Arkansas fans are scared of ASU

Yea, all 2,000 fans = entire fanbase

I was in Hot Springs at the races this weekend. I saw actual stAte fans, wearing stAte gear. It was queer.

You should put in the OP that there's a poll on the link where you can vote whether you would like for the game to be played or not. I voted yes, and yes seems to be out to a commanding lead. I think this would be great for the state of Arkansas. Great idea.
