We're not Missouri.

Wait. Can I add a after that and still count as one sentence?

Butch has won or shared a conference title in his third year at every place he has been the head coach.

He's also replaced Brian Kelly at his last two coaching stops in softer conferences, to be fair. It's a better reason than I've got for Vandy...so congrats on that.

As for Vandy, we're really not sure of much at all. On paper, we should be as talented as any team we have ever fielded, but we just looked lost and listless for almost all of last year. The UT game was the only one where things looked at all like a team with a purpose. The good news is that was when Mason was calling the defense as he will be this year. Even better news is that Karl Dorrell is gone, so Andy Ludwig will be the one benefiting from a long leash.

We also have a new S&C coach after the last one was more focused on being flexible than actually being able to move the guy across from you. James Dobson came over from Nebraska after Pelini got canned. The Huskers have been very physical while Dobson was there, so that's a great sign.

Player-wise, our line returns everyone except Townsend. He's not easy to replace, but that's solid return. At HB, Ralph Webb was All-SEC Freshman last year, so he's definitely a bright spot. As you pointed out, the other bright spot is TE Steven Scheu who was on the AP's All-SEC 2nd team last year. With the shite show around him, that's damned impressive.

QB is a mess still. WR has a lot of questions. The defense could be solid with our linebacking corps being a spot of particular promise, and that's great for a 3-4 team. Our secondary has tons of upside, but they were all so young an inexperienced last year.

Basically, your guess is as good as mine about what this team looks like in the fall.

We are an underachieving teAm that should win the national championship, but will only win the SEC, which will be considered underachieving.

Ole Miss fans have no reason to be in this thread. You can't find Atlanta on a map.

It might have something to do with the way you run your mouths after getting one of your rare wins against us.

See you in Atlanta....oh wait....never mind.

Check

LSU at LSU and Ole Miss at Ole Miss

So the teams we beat 47-0, now those are guaranteed losses. Please.
