texag7 said something about his GF being an Ole Miss alum. Naturally, because he is an Aggie, I didn't believe him. I then, in an extremely sarcastic manner, asked him to post pics of said girlfriend. He then responded with his email and said he would direct me to his IRL Facebook account so that I could see his girlfriend and thus confirm her existence if I responded.

I then told him to send me pictures of his girlfriend to my TD email. He did not.

He then got the point that I did not care.

Had I been at work or something, I would have followed through out of boredom. However, I was sitting on my couch sipping a beer and watching Saving Private Ryan and did not GAF.

He seems to be toning it down a bit. Maybe he'll become an average poster after all.

Because we are MIZZOU and do what we do.

Longer answer...running game (experienced OL & solid RB by committee). D-LineU with solid LB's and secondary. We're gonna pound ya this year. Favorable schedule. And the cherry-on-top...IF (and big frickin IF) the passing game matures, y'all better watch-out. We know the way to AtL, just gotta learn to finish the deal once there. 2015???

LSU has that bye week at Thanksgiving. That helps.

Dominant trio of RB's running behind a mammoth OL with an improved passing game and one of the top up and coming DC's in college football orchestrating the defense.

(I don't actually think we will win the west but if we do all of this HAS to be true plus a little old-fashioned luck)

LSU has won 8 games a year this entire century, so every year LSU is in the hunt.

I didn't say the team is the most talented, just that "on paper" (ie recruiting rankings) this team SHOULD be. So far they have certainly not lived up to that hype. They have fallen embarrassingly short of expectations.

I promise I wasn't poking fun, I believe you. It it just kinda shocking that the expectations of yall are so low given that fact. It really shows that outside the top 20-ish programs that dominate recruiting what matters more is coaching than talent on paper.

I think Franklin was a bit star-happy. He wanted to make the splashes in recruiting, even if closer inspection revealed some serious flaws or the player didn't "fit". We've also had some of our highest rated guys leave for various reasons, which I think is mostly due to Franklin taking some academic and personality risks.

Hopefully, Mason has made his rookie mistakes and corrected them because his recruiting, while not as flashy, shows a definite plan of the type of player he wants. He's gotten some good ones like Josh Smith and Kyle Shurmur too. It's really weird and annoying after where we were after last year.

A lot of coaches do that, especially ones who feel they won't have to deal with the long-term issues that are created. It never felt like he was thinking long term, from the rape stuff onward.

The fact that he FIRED both his coordinators is pretty shocking. Normally the first group hired by a coach are HIS GUYS, and it takes AD threats or other offers to replace them.

The fact that he fired BOTH, and he is willing to put the defensive side completely on his back is either foolish inexperience or crazy genious. If I was a Vandy fan I would take the gamble seeing as how the latter is the program's best hope to keep ANY momentum after Franklin.

Good luck, we are all watching.

David Williams might have stepped in, but I think Mason knew the steps were necessary. His first hires were "his guys." The problem was he was promoting a career LB coach to DC and brought in a guy who hadn't been a college OC in 10 years.

Taking over as sole DC is a gamble, but his work as a DC is what got him hired. Ludwig is an experienced OC, so hopefully he can thrive with the long leash.
