Unless it'll negatively impact LSU (like win 3 of the last 4 titles and try to get my state's best prospects at the same time), I'll root for them.

If you are a high school recruit who thinks he is the best, then he wants to prove it. The best want to play in the SEC. If you want them to come to your school then the SEC needs to remain strong.

I'll pull for other SEC teams against out of conference.
I love the recruiting pitch that it gives us to say that we are the most dominant conference in CFB.

Go ask the fans of duke, unc, and nc state.... If clemson was in the sec there would be noway I'd ever pull for them...

Got to pull for the SEC. Before Ags came in to the conference I pulled for most SEC teams anyway...

I'll root for anyone but Alabama.
I root for other SEC teams to have success - but not to separate themselves from LSU
After Florida won their second title in a few years I didn't want them to win more, after Bama won last year I don't want them to win another for a while... because doing that would separate them from LSU
Regarding the other major programs from the SEC? I generally like them to have some success but unless they haven't won something in a long time I don't want them to win NCs. The fans from programs like Tennessee, and A&M are already fairly insufferable even without any success worth mentioning in the last decade.

Only in conference play. I like hearing the excuses and feeling the seething anger as the SEC claims another victim.

Same here, I'm just preemptive. A quick glance says we have 10 Louisiana natives on the roster and I'm sure (though I didn't check) that LSU has many Texans. There are only a few from other SEC states, so those guys can let 'er rip and I'm all for them. LSU, not so much.

i always root for sec teams, not that my support matters. the perception that the sec is the strongest conference in college football has been beneficial to all of our teams, in pre-season rankings and in current season rankings. rankings get you into good bowls, possibly bcs bowls. high rankings & perception of the sec as THE premier college conference help all sec teams that want/need to recruit on a national basis.
