Do you want the myth or the reality?
Myth: They are a mafia-like organization who uses their money and influence to turn games in Alabama's favor by paying off the officiating crews.
Reality: They're a bunch of old men who meet once or twice a season to discuss what's going on at their jobs over Dreamland BBQ and sweet tea before an assistant coach shows up to tell them what's going on with the team.

Wrong, it is a well organized recruiting arm of the Bama Program under the guise of a community service organization. They are located throughout the South and actually have a waiting list to join. They are very selective on who has membership and they have levels of participation within the organization. The money people allow token membership to keep the guise up, but the true work is done by a very few.
