I think some more of the "Big 12" will leave because of the stupid Texas Network. When will there be a SEC Network on tv

I think the SEC has two networks:

CBS
ESPN

You realize it's basically just trading Texas and A&M for Auburn, right?

aTm makes sense both from a financial standpoint on their end as well as ours. They would provide immediate access to the state of Texas while UT would be either trying to make it as an indy or joining the Pac where nobody in the state would care. The SEC would overwhelm that market and erode UT's stronghold, and that worries UT to the point that they decided to try to maintain the Big 12 in its current form.

aTm has the power in this situation, and their best option is the SEC.

A&M joining the SEC isn't going to ruin Texas football or make them lose fans.

That right there should be Texas A&M's basis to flee the Big 12- when are they going to realize UT cares about UT only, they are only in it for themselves, why does A&M continue to be the doormat for UT?? Sure, they may pull off the occasional win, but in the State of Texas, A&M will always be in the shadow of UT. By A&M coming to the SEC, it gives UT the finger, and makes the SEC even stronger..

Where did I say it would do any of those things? But it would open up aTm to the SEC and the SEC to Houston and Dallas in a way that would naturally make fans flock towards the matchups unlike any UT Pac matchups.

People are probably still going to be more likely to watch Texas play than watch A&M get bent over by the SEC.

Point being, the weekly matchups in the SEC are more compelling than any other conference and would far exceed a Texas/Arizona St. matchup in the Pac. Texas would still and always be top dog, but this would erode their total dominant position in the state with the influx of the SEC on a day to day basis on the news, etc. in the state.

Would you rather them join elsewhere and make a conference to compete with us?

Yes - then the National Championship would continuously be a GOOD game instead of a lop-sided matchup
