My thinking is if the game cant be played Saturday, it wouldn't able to be p[layed Sunday for the same reason as Saturday (Power outages, awful field conditions, etc).

Miami v Fla State was on Labor Day or the the Sunday before it for nearly a decade.

I've seen UL vs Kentucky played the day before Labor Day.

He's not talking about a game being scheduled and played on those days, he's talking about a last minute change from Saturday to Sunday. That being said, I do recall the LSU-Tennessee game in 2005 being moved from Saturday night to Monday night because of Hurricane Wilma.

There's also no NFL games on labor day weekend. That's why games are scheduled then.

I agree. It's doubtful that such problems could be resolved in one day. When LSU and Tennessee rescheduled for Monday night in 2005, it was because the storm was actually going on during the originally scheduled Saturday night time slot, and the aftermath was not bad in Baton Rouge, although it was terrible in other parts of the state. In this case, the aftermath is the potential problem they're worried about, so it's hard to imagine that they could be done with all that just a day later, or even two.

Moving the game to Sunday would solve one problem, though. LSU's travel plans will be affected if we have to play on Saturday, and that situation might improve in one day (i.e. airports, roads being open, etc.).

Perhaps ask this question within the existing thread about the game being moved to Sunday?
