Oh Wow, you have no idea how dumb/delusional this statement is.

Possibly. I'll take 10 years of mediocrity in trade for a crystal football.

Amazing how we had more SEC West titles during those "mediocre years" than Auburn did.

Oh, and don't let anyone fool you into thinking you'll actually keep the hardware.

Ramsay played four games before the school decided to hold him out. The school said the NCAA won't require the Tar Heels to forfeit either of the two wins in which Ramsay played.

It wasn't my idea

Why must it always be about Auburn?

maybe bc unc was proactive in sitting players. i havent seen au do anything like that, so i doubt the ncaa are going to give au any benefit of the doubt type treatment

This was a planned visit, they told KF they would come see him in the play-offs weeks ago. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see KF go with Gus if Gus leaves BUT he won't just take any job. He could have had a D1 job last yr if that's all he was looking for. The Fraziers very much realize that Gus won't be around to see KF finish his college career. If KF is Auburn's QB next yr, Aub's passing game is gonna struggle. He's a great runner, but makes some real questionable decisions throwing it and throws late a lot. Potential as a passer is obviously there, but he's got work to do.

Oh, I don't know, maybe because you're an Auburn poster and I was responding to your hypocritical insult. Do you even try and think before you mash your fatass hands into the keyboard and churn out a dumbass response?

It wasn't about "comeback". It was a serious inquiry. If the NCAA always makes teams forfeit games when a player is retroactively ruled ineligible, why no forfeiture of these two games for UNC? I was just remarking that your response to my question appeared to be an, I don't know.

Sometimes I get the feeling a few of you take these message boards way to seriously.

i gave you a valid reason, you chose to be a smartass. probably because thats easier than accepting the trainwreck thats coming.

unc was proactive, ncaa was lienient.
usc buried their head in the sand, ncaa threw the book at them.

which do you think au falls under at this point?

I wasn't being a smart arse. I believe, when you read my posts, you read them differently than they are intended.

The Former NCAA compliance officer who spoke with ESPN said that the NCAA would suggest Auburn sit Cam Newton once they got to the point where his eligibility was seriously in question. He also said that such a suggestion woulnd't be a suggestion per se, but an order.

Compliance Officer

The NCAA can let Auburn know that by our rules and our interpretations he is ineligible and Auburn would be obligated to follow that directive

I'm giving you links and evidence, mind you. I'm not pulling this shite out of thin air.

they havent told au to sit cam because they arein the middle of an investigation, not near the end. you still havent answered my question re the similarities between camgate and reggie. they look almost identical to me.

did the ncaa order unc to sit those players or did they just tell unc those players were under investigation and unc decided to do the right thing ans sit them down while the investigation ran its course.

First of all, the entire premise of this thread is retarded. They made a visit to a recruit? Stop the freaking presses.

Secondly, Frazier is an Auburn lock.

Sorry this response took a while, I was researching.

quote:

similarities between camgate and reggie

Reggie's family received money, and lived in a house rent free. There isn't any evidence that Cameron or his Father has received either. About the only similarity I see between the two is that both are pretty fricking awesome to watch on a football field.

quote:

North Carolina, ranked 18th, is also working with the NCAA today to determine the eligibility status of three other unnamed players who will not travel to Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A kickoff. The Tar Heels left Friday morning.

[link=(North Carolina, ranked 18th, is also working with the NCAA today to determine the eligibility status of three other unnamed players who will not travel to Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A kickoff. The Tar Heels left Friday morning.)]LINK[/link]

The quote would lead me to believe the NCAA ruled players inelgible, and then "suggested" they sit others until they were finished with their investigation. The difference there is that the NCAA investigation was ongoing over the summer. So, there is much that was known, before the LSU game, about "certain" violations. I never delved into the Carolina scandal too much while it was going on, but now I intend to be an expert by nightfall. It looks as though I may have to pull an all night, coffee laden, marathon to get my research paper done by Monday

wow you head in the sand homer. reggies family recieved benefits and cams dad wanted money. he admitted as much. pretty similar brah.

and your interpretation of the link on the unc is way off base. if the ncaa had already ruled the players ineligible, unc would not have a choice in the matter. all the talk was that unc was volunteering to sit the players in question. au has made it clear they are going full steam ahead, consequences be damned. its obvious that if/when cam is ruled ineligible that the ncaa will not be kind to them. au has not helped its case in that matter.
