Nobody's making anything up. Don't think the kid wanted to hurt anybody but at least three different fouls could have been called on him during that play. In law, when someone is hurt during your illegal acts there are consequences regardless of what your intent was.

Seriously, WTF? As mentioned previously, this was because of bad decision to try to block with his head lowered. In the heat of the moment, I am guessing that Morgan likely just registered that the guy was leaning heavily on him on purpose to continue the block, and so he threw him off. I sincerely doubt anyone in that situation would immediately recognize the other player had just broken his neck and was hanging on them because they had just lost the use of their limbs, especially since the player himself probably hadn't consciously pushed past the shock to realize what had just happened.

Only UGA fans are complaining.
Because you're insinuating that one of our players purposely tried to severely injure a player for no other reason than to be a dickhead.

threw him to the ground and stood over him talking smack while he lay three paralyzed.
Even if he did these things (which he didn't at all btw), he didn't know he was severely injured so the "smack talking" which again didn't happen, doesn't really matter.

The UGA kid had no way of knowing he was injured. He was merely following through on the play.
The Georgia staff was on top of things immediately. This is just one of those terrible things that sometimes occur- even though we all wish they wouldn't......

No, you stop. Stop trying to make the kicker the villain in this terrible tragedy for whatever messed up reason you feel the need to do this.

Not trying to make anyone a villain. Just don't like the "aw shucks, these things happen" attitude and the blaming the victim I've seen.No one wants to acknowledge that maybe UGA contributed to what happened to this kid. People keep bringing up intent and I've said multiple times I don't think the kid had any intent to paralyze someone but that doesn't mean his intentions were all good. Just feel like you guys are like "we said we're sorry and UGA is gonna pay medical bills so that should be good enough." I'll will freely admit that I don't know what was going through the UGA kid's head but neither do you. All I have is my reaction to what I saw, just like you. And I'm not affiliated with UGA or Southern for that matter.

You seem to have a hard time coming up with a link to the video.

If the kicker in question was in a LSU jersey you would be praising the staff for doing all that they have done and wouldn't even hint that the kicker had any bad intentions when taking on the block. Do you want him to be suspended, publicly shamed, made to walk over a bed of hot coals?

It's on Liveleak. Google will bring it up. It's obvious the Southern player collapses onto or seizes up onto the UGA player after the injury and the UGA player is just thinking "WTF is this guy still all over me?" and throws him off. He obviously had no idea he was injured at that time and the what UGA player did was not the cause of the injury at all.

Definitely praying for this young man. I read about this early this morning and praying that this young man will recover fully.

This is exactly what happened. It's a terrible tragedy, and hopefully Gales has a full recovery.

Wow... so Gales was running full speed and lowered his head in an attempt to take out UGA's kicker... and the kicker lowered his pads to protect himself, resulting in Gales getting injured.

Could have just as easily been UGA's kicker getting paralyzed.

Hate it for the kid. The Southern fam will rally around and I'm sure the UGA folks will take care of anything else. That kicker didn't nothing wrong and he probably feels as bad as anyone even though he shouldn't
