Nope. A 2-loss SEC team will get in some year soon but not this year. Too many power 5 teams likely to have only 1 loss.

not if that team with 2 losses wins the conference...they will be in....fact.

not even close, I'll say the team that beat 6 top 25 teams and won their conference.....but hey, that's just me....if you want best team...bama...if you want deserved, OSU. Period.

One thing I like about four team playoff is that OSU would have a shot --- but before that, you could not lose to a six loss Iowa State and be number 2.

Its not a question of who deserved it more. The point is that certain programs get a pass and have to play themselves OUT OF a championship instead of into one. Bama is one of them. /shrug

Alabama needs to win 2 of its next 3 games to have a shot at making it into the playoff. I also think that if ole miss blows a few more games they will be dinged badly for that.

Doubt it.

Only way a two loss team would be in the playoff is by winning a conference, likely only the SEC. That is probably a long shot.

It's tough to defeat a team twice in the same season, no matter the sport or how good the teams may be. See NFL, NBA, NCAA, MLB, etc.!!!!

This isn't true at all by the way.

Hey Genius, even if Bama beats State and Auburn. State would only have one loss and a win against the Rebs would send them to Atlanta.

No they arent. You people that think anyone but the sec champ is getting in are delusional. There is no way they take a 2 loss non sec champ before a 1 loss p5 conf champ. The playoff was created to give other conferences their shite at a title. Not to give the sec more of shite to win the title.

KNEW that Bama and LSU were far and away the best teams in the country..

Their is a difference between best team ( subjective ) and most ddeserving.which team deserves a title shot.

Team A-1 loss beat 5 top 25 teams
Team B-1 loss beat 2 top 25 teams.

Alabama was the best choice. Oklahoma State had the chance, but blew it.

SO DID BAMA. Oklahoma st didn't have a shot at the only undefeated team in the country. Bama did and lost at home. Never in the history of college football has the eye test trumped beating 5 ranked teams to beating 2 ranked teams all year.

MSU would have to lose twice. They only way Bama gets in the playoff is if they are the SEC Champs.

What is it about order being restored that makes everyone so angry?

Do you get mad when the sun comes up? Do you get mad at the stages of the moon? Do you get mad about the seasons changing?

Such is Alabama's ascendance to #1.

That statement implies they didn't deserve it. Once again, what is the argument for putting anyone else into that game other than Bama? Show me when they were put into the championship by "not playing themselves out of it."
