Yep.

I could entertain an argument about moving AU down a couple spots, especially because we have already been hit pretty hard by injuries and what not.

Irrelevant. Bama has a new OC, and new QB. That alone, plus what Auburn returns in terms of players, and coaches, and a NCG appearance should put Auburn in the 1 spot.

Honestly, every team has luck in a season.

Well if the last two seasons are any indication, one or two teams at the tops are going to tumble and one or two near the bottom are going to rise.

I think Florida, State, and A&M will have better seasons than most predict.
I also think LSU and Auburn will not be as good as projected.

Especially in POWER RANKINGS. I know it's a dumb thing to be frustrated about, but ESPN constantly just throws out PR that are based on how they project a team will be, which totally defies the purpose of PR in the first place.

Hard to tell with Auburn - the defense will be their Achilles Heel, that's for certain. If the offense is good enough, like last year, it may not matter though.

It will be interesting to see if their new starting RB can put up similar numbers to their previous.

I disagree with your opinion, though I will offer no evidence to support the contrary and will merely leave it at that.

Seems accurate for a team that should finish 7-5.

Arkansas will end up at least 3 or 4 spots higher.

Well, one of the trade offs to that offense and tempo is that their defense will be on the field more, and will get tired.

So in a sense, their defensive statistics won't really reflect an accurate representation of how good/bad their defense is, unless of course their defense gives up points on every drive.

I think their defense will be somewhat improved though.

Depends on their OLine really. If their OLine is even 50% as good as it was last year, their RBs will still have good stats.

I also expect Marshall to be a better thrower and put up better numbers after a year in that system.

For the time being, I'd say its about right. It's hard to evaluate Ole Miss, LSU, and State for the time being, to where any of those can be switched back and forth.

I think people are underestimating Arkansas. They won't be good or anything, but they'll win a couple SEC games.

They were not as bad as their 0-8 mark last year.

They were very competitive in the 1st half of most of their games and tended to fall apart in the 2nd halves (usually a sign of depth issues).

They pretty much gave away a win @ LSU too at the end of the year.

So yeah, they're not a good team but they're not god awful either.

This is the first time I've seen you talk about a&m without calling them little bro. You're slipping

Oh, I agree. But again, they are still a young team and the SEC West is going to be a tough division for them.

Heck, even the East will be better this year. Will be another year or two for that team IMO.

I think this is one of the hardest years to predict in the SEC I can ever remember (not that those predictions usually pan out anyway).

There are like 5-6 teams people know will most likely be pretty good, but you can make a strong case for any of them as to why they'll be great or as to why they'll trip up.

shocked aggies are so low

other than that, I pretty much agree...bama is number one because of consistency and it's the safe bet even if we think Auburn could be better

Most wide open it's been in quite some time certainly in recent memory. The big 3 in both divisions have major issues on one or both sides of the ball. Add in the next tier is improved but also flawed is formula for chaos. That being said it'll probably be AU, Bama, and LSU because god hates Mississippi and Texas
