I think, as a general rule QB > OL > RB > WR/TE,

I would say OL > QB > RB > WR/TE, myself. A great quarterback or RB behind a mediocre line is never a good thing, but a mediocre QB or RB behind a great OL has a chance to excel. QB is the most important position on the field and I would take a great QB over a single great OL every day... but an entire OL would be greater for the sum of its parts.

I think LSU may have the biggest variance here all depending on our qb and line. If one is great, not just good but great LSU can have a top 3-5 offense. If both are average we will be fricked

When was the last time Bama finished 1st on O in the SEC..

No disrespect, but Bama doesn't run a O that will get those numbers nor do they need those numbers. Talent wise they are near the top.

It looked like you were laughing at the position rankings. In fairness, I'd probably have the QBs lower because nobody really knows what Bama will have. The other numbers seem right.
ETA Actually, you were just laughing at Bama at 1. Yeah, I don't think just combining position rankings is very scientific.

I don't really give a frick. We don't play either landmass team. Wish we did, two more easy wins sounds nice.

No one in the conference actually believes that a MS school will be an easy win this year. Except maybe Bama to OM and LSU to State.

The QBs in the conference are a real crapshoot this year. There's Marshall, then everybody else. Even with the experience that Wallace, Dak and Driskel have, I wouldn't prefer either of them to, say, Mason or Thompson. Coker is a real wildcard. Any QB could wind up being 2nd best once all is said and done. It could get real interesting if Marshall goes down. He's now going on his 3rd straight year of being a QB who uses his legs a lot.

Top 1-3 RBs (splitting hairs)
Top Oline (1-4) debateable
Elite WR/TE
QB?..

But yea, I was just laughing at the ranking from a standpoint of the O Bama runs. If Bama finished with the #1 O and a 1-2 D

Who the hell knows what kind of O Bama is going to run, really? Will it be Kiffin-esque, or will Saban rein him in?

This is going to be an interesting season, though, what with all the new QBs, the sophomore HC campaigns at Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, and Tennessee, the (I modestly add) new coach at Vandy, and some heavy-duty assistants coming in like Kiffin and Pruitt. And I could easily see Bama opening it up with a scary offense, or UGA finally fielding a vicious D again, or LSU turning out the best run game in the conference behind their new QB, or even a perennial cellar-dweller making some real noise. Hell, I could even see TAMU not missing a beat with their hyped-but-unproven recruits.

They'll probably be top 5 (conference) in scoring O, which is the only O stat I care about.

You have Mississippi State and Ole Miss ranked way way WAY too high, especially Mississippi State.
