As a Bama fan I will gladly admit that ibwas happy that UT choked against UF because I much preferred playing UF and their anemic offense, although stellar defense, over having to play UT again in ATL. UT may have been Bama's toughest game all season.

That hot streak where you played Kentucky, South Carolina, North Texas, Missouri and Vandy the last 5 weeks?

Well LeBatard is right in one way. If the Vols made the playoffs they "could" win it all. By the same token if Georgia Southern or UTSA made the playoffs they "could" win it all. It isn't likely, but the chance is there.

I am not trying to knock the Vols here, I think they are slowly but surely climbing back to where they once were. But they aren't a top 4 team in the country this year.

Would they all have led @ Bama with 3 minutes to play in the game? I mean LSU got their d!ck knocked in the dirt. I felt sorry for y'all in that game. It was borderline physical abuse. Straight up @sskicking.

That's not what was stated. The comment was about how great of a feat it was to win those 5 games in a row. It wasn't a great feat, regardless of how you and LeRetard view it. LSU has more wins over 'Bama than anyone since 2000, in spite of losing 5 in a row. Quit trying to come off as offended by someone saying LeRetard is an idiot. UT finally didn't under-achieve. Yea!!!!

Very original UFMatt. I see you put almost as much thought and originality in that post as you did your username.

Dan LeBatard said Tennessee got hot towards the end of season and this team could run the table against best teams in the country.

UT has beaten a grand total of three ranked teams in the last eight seasons combined.

I hope to hell y'all beat NW. I don't want to see any SEC team losing to a BIG team in a bowl.

Yah, everyone says that now, and come the evening of January 1st most will be claiming that we just beat a nobody. I understand how this board works.

Remember last year when Iowa was going to smoke us, or earlier this year when "Bowling Green is a good team and Vols will be lucky to win"

I'm sorry, but a 99 yard fumble recovery on one of the most absurd turnovers I've ever seen is an aberration as it relates to the normal flow of a football game.

lulz. So turnovers don't count? It wasn't some weird fluky play like ole miss/bama...if they were on the 50 yard line, we disloged the ball from the runner and we fell on teh fumble would that be absurd? Of course not. The only difference in that and what happened was it was on the 1 instead of the 50 and we didn't jump on it, we ran with it.

I always think it's funny when people try to pretend turnovers don't count as it relates to a game. Florida fans were notorious for that after we beat them in 12.

We outrushed, outpassed and outscored UGA on that day. A fluky turnover and a bogus waived flag kept it close for you.

and you won the game, fair and square. But despite what you think turnovers do count. As do special teams. Those are things that don't inflate the box score but it's still scoring points, which is ultimately what you're trying to do.

Let's also remember that what helped UT storm back at the end of the first half was a sony fumble in our own territory. Does that count?

That waived block in the back was one of the most egregiously bad calls made this season. Even Verne and Gary were going in on the refs after that one.
