They have talent enough to make a good defense. It doesn't have to be a world beater for them to have success.

I'm not sure Auburn should be so high. They'll certainly see dividends on hiring Muschamp, but to expect them in the first season is a bit insane.

I could easily be wrong, but I think it's a little early to automatically presume he's going to fix the hot mess that is AU's defense in a single off season.

Probably right. I think Auburn certainly has pieces with potential, some with more than normal potential for incoming starters (JJ, Jovon Robinson), but still a lot of work to do.

Defense should have improved to some degree even if Ellis Johnson had stayed with Carl Lawson coming back and Tray Matthews becoming eligible. Lack of a pass rush and subpar safety play were two of Auburn's biggest problems last year

ESPN is trying its hardest to make UGA part of the SEC West.

I have news for you, our OL wasn't very good. Will be about 20 lbs a man heavier next year and significantly improved, which isn't saying a lot. Dak made that line look way better than it was.

Look in all seriousness, you never get better losing all that experience. Nobody does. Although in the long run I think Rankin will be better than Blaine the pain train

You're completely delusional.

If you are able to look at LSUs current roster + next 2 recruiting classes and see a decline, you're one pessimistic mother fricker.

I agree but we lost the same number last year, and the guys stepping in have significantly more game time and potential. And let's be honest, none of the 3 we lose are anything comparable to Gabe Jackson. I'm just worried about the defense, the Diaz hire helps my feelings a lot though. And the fact that all of our difficult games are in the last 6 weeks of the season sets up perfectly for us. Plus we get LSU, Ole Miss, and Bama at home.

I think we will get better next year, but I'm not saying we will win more games. Picking up Missou on the schedule, along with Arkansas still improving, and A&M/AU/LSU probably improving, really makes that difficult.

Who cares...Landmass teams will win 7-9 games next season.

We will never win anything big because Landmass.

Great question. I'm just a masochist so I'll keep going. I can't imagine how my dad keeps going honestly.

I will be really surprised if a West team makes it out without 2 losses. If Champ and Chavis pan out for AU and A&M, I honestly would put all 7 teams on an even level going into the season. I like our odds because we return the only game changer at QB, but damn it's going to be a rough league.

I will watch the games. But who cares about the pointless arguments when you know what the outcome will be anyway?

Because the Dawgs have been going to win it all every year and I'll be damned if it stops now.

I do agree, but a lot of it is a product of no real clear cut favorites in the sec right now.... the league is wide open and somebody's gotta be in there. Auburn seems to be solid at QB, which makes some difference.

Getting fat makes you better?

Hiring a coordinator that was fired after the 2nd game of the season at Texas because his D gave up 550 rushing yards in one game makes you feel better about your D?

After winning four of their final six games, Bret Bielema's Razorbacks are on a roll. With a massive O-line, a pair of talented tailbacks and a defense that came on strong late, Arkansas is on a solid foundation.

Referencing Bert's favorite grain, his pant size, and something he continually tests the durability of? ESPN is sailing the shite out of BB in this article.
