Slightly, a shitty bowl and loss will amplify it more.

6-6 would be horrid

8-4 is on par for this year, above is good

Fair enough. I've already said what I think it would take for AU to tank (Frazier getting in his own head due to Clemson sending everyone), but I don't think it will happen. The guys that should beat you will beat you (LSU/UA/Arky/UGa) and ya'll will win the ones you should (Everyone else). JMOO.

If AU goes 7-5 in the regular season, will the year be a disappointment to AU fans?

There is nothing disappointing about having a reason to drink fermented water and stare at skirts, especially when you're married.

Wouldn't be surprised one bit.

I'd def be surprised but you gotta figure Troy will be fully-torqued for that game. Gotta be the first SEC opponent to play there.

When "he has exceeded expectations" stops being said.

Judging by this thread, they might not be what I was expecting this year. I wonder if that game could be their first ever sell out.

No, I don't play football.

Auburn players are taking notice and loving all of the disrespect.

A guy I know exceeded expectations in '05. UA fans were excited over that. I guess AU has made a transition to that mindset.

I think Gene Stallings said something about listening to the media/fans. Something along the lines of, "if you listen to them long, you will be in the stands with them soon enough". I think that applies here.

Wait wut? Most all of you say he is a shitty coach. So wouldn't that mean he has exceeded expectations of opposing fans, media, and experts? He hasn't exceeded AU fans expectations because we get called delusional for always believing we will do better. Find a different reason bruh.

off the top of my head, I think Troy's biggest win at home came against Missouri in 2004. Missouri was in the Top 25 and it was a prime time game. Troy hasn't been as good the last few seasons IMO.

Who said we were excited over exceeding expectations?

We're just making a point. It's obvious that the 6-6, as predicted by ESPNU, won't hold up due to the past predictions and final results of Auburn during said season. We may as well mark down 9-10 wins this season based on past results from those great ESPN analysts. I'm pretty sure I'd rather look on VolNation for Auburn predictions, anyways.
