LSU won 10 games last season with the best set of offensive weapons they've had in quite some time. They won't sniff 10 wins with just defense and a running game.

see 2012. LSU's offense was god awful and they only lost two games by a combined 12 points. LSU has proven time and time again that they can find a way to win 10 games with only a defense and running game. 2010 was much the same as well. Horrible horrible passing game, one of the worst in LSU history, decent enough running game, good defense, 10-3 season.

Well in 2011, we had 13 wins including wins over the Orange Bowl,Rose Bowl, and National Champions with only a defense and a running game

in 2010 and '12 your defense was easily above everyone's but Bama's. in 2014 you have Ole Miss, State, and Bama who are as good or better, and AU who can only get better from last year.

It should be a 20 game (vs MSU) winning streak for LSU.

21 actually, and only a few have even been close

Because this years LSU squad is practically a carbon copy of that team right?

The 4/5 returning OL coupled with good depth and Magee, Hilliard & Fournette will equal 250+ YPG rushing.

and in 2012 you still had mett, odell, and jarvis. they were nowhere near as consistent as 2013, but they made plays.

Meh Jarvis was mostly an unknown going into that season, outside of his ST play.

I agree we don't look as talented on paper going in this year as we did in 2012. We do have a competent OC now, which is exciting.

I'm not expecting an SEC W title. I think Bama/Auburn are the clear top 2, and LSU and the landmass schools will battle for 3rd

LSU: Les Miles’ Tigers are projected to win 8.0 games, with a 4.6 percent chance of winning the SEC and a 9.5 percent chance of winning the West. However, the Tigers are favored in nine games -- all but Auburn (26.8), Texas A&M (38.0) and Alabama (42.5).

pretty sure I heard on the radio that vegas has the over/under for LSU at 9 or 9.5 if I'm not mistaken. Seems the most realistic IMO.

I said that? I am just pointing out that the statement of "Lsu wont win 10 games with just defense and a running game" is factually incorrect sir

LSU won't win 10 games this year with their current defense and running game.

Please research and tell me the last time LSU managed to do that.

TIA.

Ok, so when I say Bama wont be good because they are breaking in a 1st year starter at QB, you promise you wont bring up McElroy and AJ?

I don't see what's funny about saying Harris, as a true freshman, is as talented as any other true freshman in the SEC. I mean he was a high school all-american. It's no more ridiculous a statement than saying any other hs all-american true freshman this season is the most talented in the conference. It's not like he's saying Harris, right now, is awesome or anything.
