That LSU oline is going to be beastly
quote:
You talk about powerful lines. Here’s one. Vadal Alexander, who passed up the NFL draft, is only the tip of the spear. Jerald Hawkins is back at tackle and Ethan Pocic is back and capable of playing all five positions. Les Miles called projected center Josh Boutte, "The biggest man I’ve ever known."

BSPN at it again.Auburn is the best oline easily
LT Shon Coleman-5 star
Robert Leff-3 star
Darius James-5 star
LG Alex Kozan-4 star
Devonte Danzey-3 star
Deon Mix-4 star
Tyler Carr-4 star
OC Austin Golson-4 star
Xavier Dampeer-3 star
Kaleb Kim-4 star
RG Braden Smith-5 star
Jordan Diamond-5 star
Marquel Harrell-4 star
RT Avery Young- 5 star
Bailey Sharp-4 star
Will Adams-3 star
Mike Horton-3 star
Shon Coleman- Greg Robinson was horrid as first year starter then boom in 2013. Expect same from Coleman, who was better than Robinson in his first year
Alex Kozan- he hurt losing to injury a freshman all american without him dominate left side was gone. He his back and he has a nasty streak
Austin Golson- transfered in from Ole Miss, coaches say he better than Dismukes.Xavier Dampeer was number one juco center last year.
Braden Smith- he gonna man handle ppl not named Carl Lawson, last year has freshman was benching 660.Will also line up at TE like last year is replacement the mammoth 330 lb five star Jordan Diamond
Avery Young- Project him first tackle in next years draft can play all five postions. If injury occurs he will move there and Diamond will go to right tackle
Devonte Danzey-started several games last year and Aubun began running better when he replaced Slade who moved back to RG
Basically Auburn has 7 starting o line players.Kozan and Smitb count has returning starters.Smith started last half of year fo an injured Patrick Miller, that idiot shoud of never went in to the draft,he barely played and sucked.
then you have to throw in the blocking of the h back, last year Fulse sucked,he was a natural TE.Enter Kamyrn Pettway and Chandler Cox two battering ram like Jay Proach but they have speed and hands for wheel routes like Mario Fannin in 2010

You actually think stars mean anything on the oline?

I hate to break it to you sport...but this would be like taking candy from a baby. LSU has at least 15 players this year that are future 1st and 2nd round draft picks......but hey, if you want....let's go with it.

Hey aubtard, not that it matters, but the teams ahead of you on that list have stars on their oline too

you do realize that most coaches are hired/fired off of their performance right? Stands to reason actual rankings of said coaches should be done based upon performance. When Les wins big this year....he will have won 4 West Titles, 3 Sec Titles, 2 National Titles, and another NC appearance. Meanwhile, Richt will have....a lot of talent...and Sumlin will have, an unstoppable offense....lol

Just a discussion. Settle down champ.
Not upset at all. I actually find all these rankings comical. For instance, they are rated based upon what criteria? If you look at Baylor's WR's, they may be rated the #1 group in the nation, due to expected production because of the offensive style. However, if you rate them on physical ability and NFL potential...then their players may not even be first round (I have no idea, haven't looked). On the flip side, you have WR's at a school like LSU and Bama that may not have the numbers, but will still be drafted very highly.
In terms of the OL, I'm sure many teams are loaded. LSU has at minimum 4 guys that will be drafted in first or second round in Alexander, Hawkins, Pocic (especially if he comes back to play LT next year), and Boutte will make his name known very soon. This doesn't even count one of the top 5 stars in the nation....etc. LSU's line was good last year. It should be outstanding this year.....good luck on the year.

I didn't realize Auburn's was going to be that strong. Spells trouble for a lot of other people.

Again dude.. I don't care or know about other rankings so I can't help you on the other that
Like I said, if you're not in the bottom 5 then there's probably no concern. A ranking is just a point of discussion. Nobody has it right

They are based on the same criteria that gives us recruiting rankings. You know, the same ranking criteria that tells you and all the other LSU fans that you will be good every year, based on that criteria. They are right 100% of the time obviously

Yeah I guess that could be read either way. Regardless we had a crapload of freshman in, but I see how that could be misleading.

Looks like Ark, Georgia,Auburn and LSU are all damned strong. Doesn't matter who is number 1 in that article

Does the uncertainty on the line play into Saban's choice at QB?
I'm fairly certain that Saban has much less uncertainty about the line and the QB than the posters on this board.
