LOL...you guys and your "rankings". You find ONE writer that has an opinion and writes an article on his opinion, as if it were fact. You can literally find an article to support any opinion you want to justify. I've seen articles written where school X has the best wr's, coaches, etc. I found the coaching comical, ranking coaches on "potential" rather than actual results. Sounds like they were written by former Ole Miss graduates......"always this is the year type crap" instead of "here is what we accomplished".
I look at potential draft position to rank a unit, in terms of the players. I look at actual accomplishments to rank a coaching staff. Saban and Staff should be #1. Les Miles should be #2...to have Sumlin and Richt ahead of him is a joke. On OL, LSU has minimum 4 starters that will be first/second round draft picks.....and at WR...LSU has 4 guys that will be first/second round draft picks....at least are projected at this point. Dupree was the #1 wr in the nation out of highschool......Dural was a late second round pick last year if he would have came out.....Johnson was a 5 star, Diarse and Quinn will be highly drafted. LSU has had 5 WR's drafted in the top round over the last several years...we know a little about that.

I'm scared shitless of our OL not living up to that

Man...if they can find someone serviceable at QB, they are going to be damn near unstoppable. I have no confidence that Auburn can win this game at this point.
Yeah well, story of our lives. QB, no OL. OL, no QB, Defense, no offense.

Woo! We're not last! And those sack numbers dropped dramatically once Dobbs took over.

Funny how the Offense with that shite Oline still managed to hang up 32 on UGA and keep it within a field goal with a majority of freshman on both sides of the ball last year. Wonder how it'll shake up this year in Neyland.

Not really sure what you're on about. Your whole post is jibberish about WRs and coaches when we're discussing offensive lines.
Nobody's beating their chest on OL rankings. If you're in the bottom 5 then you probably have some question marks on the line. Top 5 usually means you have depth or a couple of all-american types. Anywhere in between and you're likely to be perfectly fine.
Just a discussion. Settle down champ.

Does the uncertainty on the line play into Saban's choice at QB?
IF memory serves, they're all righties - so blind side attacks are already covered by Cam.
Otherwise - I doubt it. The biggest thing will be finding a QB that doesn't lose us the games vs the QBs who can win us the games. Not sure if Coker is the guy that fits either bill, but might be the one "in-between".

Majority doesn't mean what you think it does.

So Tennessee fans say UFs oline sucks when theirs is barely better than ours...
Lulz.
Lulz.

How so? A majority of the freshamn class played in the game.

It'll depend on how Tenn does on 1st and 2nd down. If they're in 3rd and 5+ all night, the UGA pass rush (should be very, very good) will unleash holy hell. If Tenn has success on 1st and 2nd down and can mix up their play calling on 3rd, they'll probably have a very good day on offense.

And Vandy just lost our starting LT for the season.

Will be a close, exciting game. The last 4 have all been tight, looking forward to another good game

If you played last year "with a majority of freshman on both sides of the ball", you're saying that at least 6 of your offensive and defensive players were freshmen. Is that true? I honestly don't know, I'm asking.

I think he meant the majority of our freshmen class saw meaningful playing time in that game. Not sure how many played in the game, but we had at least 7 true FR start (Hurd, Robertson, Barnett, Wolf, Malone, Medley(K), Thomas ). I may be missing one or two

That one spot difference could quantify a lot more than "barely better."
