Again, all of this is hearsay...but it has pretty much been repeated through conversations with different groups of fans and on softball message boards since last September.

I highly doubt it has been talked about as specifically as it is now being reported. There are huge groups of people in the SEC who spend inordinate amounts of time trying to destroy other SEC schools. Nobody would have sat on the specifics.

The part about Cory sleeping with players might have been known, but harassment or Clint covering for him was absolutely not public knowledge or people would have been using the info to tear at Auburn from every direction. I personally doubt JJ looses his job on this one, but man what does it say about Auburn that so many fans have such hate for him. I am indifferent about him.

Stealing texts from someones phone and using that against them is a crime. Not smart to suggest destroying evidence, but im sure it was an attempt to legally protect the girls.

Wait, what?! These girls were in a toxic situation. And as college students, I'm sure they were aware of the consequences of their actions.

I don't blame them for, and no one else should either, for doing what they felt they needed to do to get rid of a sexual predator. Who was supposed to be someone they could trust.

Sheesh.

Not necessarily.

Aside from the reason they got the texts, how they got them and the steps the owner took to protect them would play into any legal issues. Leave an unlocked phone laying around and someone looks at it? That's on you.

Patrick Murphy and Co. better have called up everything single one of Auburn's recruits and targets by now or I'll be very disappointed.

I have thought the same thing. The law allows anyone to gather info that can reasonably be obtained. I would assume looking over someone's shoulder or looking at an unlocked phone is reasonable.

Is there any truth to the issue where the girls took the text messages from one players phone and threatened to make them public, and before they could go public the girl called cops and had the other girls arrested on the pot possession charge in the Spring?

How freaking good was this softball team to be able to make it as far as they did, with all this going on? Makes you wonder if they were able to just focus on playing what they could have done.

Next year has a chance to be better, especially now that the drama is gone. This has been a long time coming.
