To be fair, Georgia was one of the leaders going into last season in returning starts.

Thank you. UGA's OL was hyped. They weren't supposed to be Alabama 2012, but they were no doubt projected to be a top 10 unit.

Regardless it doesn't matter. They sucked and Clemson showed that from day one.

If we make the first playoff, I don't know how I'm gonna react. Also, it'll be interesting to see how well fans travel to the semi-final, because I imagine a lot of fans might be saving their money and plans in the event of a win for the title game.

top 10...in america? By who? Maybe I just don't remember that. I know we were supposed to be improved based on who was coming back, but I dont' remember that being a supposed strength of the team.

I wouldn't say they sucked, but they underachieved. Game 1s always have some kinks to work out, and our offense was rolling just fine until the wheels fell off, which was no fault of the OL.

Once Clemson demonstrates the ability to consistenly challenge for the ACC title, then I will start to take it seriously. One ACC title in 20 years isn't very convincing, especially when it came in a down year for even the ACC.

Programs change. People could notice the change in LSU after decades of mediocrity. You'd be obtuse not to notice the same changes in Clemson.

Not saying we'll reach LSU's level, but Clemson has clearly changed under Dabo as a program. The consistency is almost a given. He's won big games against Ohio State, UGA, LSU and Auburn. Figure out how to beat South Carolina and Dabo will have pretty much nailed everything on the checklist.

decades is incorrect.....one 5 year run (1989-1994) and one 3 year run (1997-1999) do not equate to "decades".

I never said that the program hasn't improved. I just said that I am not yet taking Clemson seriously, as in competing for a national championship.

Georgia returned a 100 starts on the oline for #7 in the country. The OL was hyped going into the season. I can't believe how revisionist SEc fans can be sometimes.

If hyped means 4th in the SEC, then sure, they were totally hyped up going into the year.

SDS - #4
ESPN - #4
Athlon - #4
