Just about the only thing I got from it was when one of the talking heads said he had spent some time at A&M these past few mths. In talking to the aggies' DC, he said the DC made the comment that they were still 2 yrs away from having a SEC type defense. Perhaps another long season for the aggies on that side of the ball.

Top Big 12 defense

Gives up 50+ to UCF.

I'm not sure how a Texas A&M fan is going to talk trash about another teams defense. You couldn't stop wet paper bag and lost one of the best college QBs ever. He clearly put the team on his back.

Baylor at least belongs on the top 16 lists even if I don't think they are going to the playoffs.

Hmmmm...

-Lead the nation in TFL last season
-Return all starters
-Likely top 15 NFL Draft pick and All-American Vic Beasley returns
-Dominated both UGA and Ohio State's world-class OLs, and I'm talking dominated.

O and ESPN's preview of the top units in college football for the upcoming season had Clemson's DL on it.

Yea, I'm serious.

Having followed both teams I'm not sure who from LSU's DL would start on Clemson's DL right now.

It's ok you don't follow football outside the SEC. Just know you're wrong and everyone who follows the sport nationwide knows it.

Clemson doesn't have the best defensive line in college football... Anyways, their offense and defense will fail them this year. There is simply way too much to replace and they will have a down year.

Georgia's offensive line is not that great.

lol, who in the world claimed UGA had a world class OL?

Also not saying you don't have a good/great/amazing DL. I'm just having a hard time believing it's "best in the nation good"

Give me a better answer. Until someone can, why not Clemson? An argument can be made for Michigan State but outside of that I'm not sure who else can.

No disagreement here.

I don't think we're anywhere near a favorite, but we have a three game schedule. A dominant DL can keep you in any game and if we can steal one from a UGA team breaking in a new QB week one then we essentially have a mulligan against FSU before the entire season comes down to South Carolina (again ).

Everyone knows it's best to lose early. If Clemson finished the season with one loss on the road to the defending National Champs and wins over UGA and South Carolina we'd be in the playoff, almost a fact.

I'd agree.

They got the hype, though.

I'm confused. UGA's OL is neither great nor do they get hype.

Preseason everyone lauded UGA's "veteran, experienced, talented" OL.

That's a fact.

Last season or this season?

Last season we had a player who hadn't played football in 3 years playing serious minutes at tackle. That isn't experience. This season we won't have either guard returning. So I don't know what you're talking about.

Solid list, IMO......except for A&M. Good squad. May surprise some people, but replacing a boat load of solid contributors. I don't see them finishing in the top 3 of the West. A&M may finish just ahead of Arky in the West.

The one that had a guard playing LT and a significant contributor who hadn't played a down in almost 4 years?

It's like y'all didn't see your own games last year. You lucked out on almost every big win y'all had.

Winning close games is "lucking out"?

Auburn is a year older. A year more experienced in the O and D schemes. Didn't lose much. Have the most potent O in the Conf., if not the nation. Prepare thy anus.....a lot this season.
