If you haven't read the thread how do you know a Vandy fan is in it?

Sounds like your usual BS.

No it isn't. If you have the best WRs in the universe all time, but you cannot get them the ball, what good are they? Your QB has been unable to take advantage of those receivers....that and the play calling.

If you have Leonard Fournette but don't give him the ball can he make a difference? Before you answer that, think about the Arkansas game of 2014.

I didn't say they were. I said if you can't get the ball into your receivers hands they are useless....I don't care how good they are. You tell me. Do you want the receivers that get the ball in their hands and they make plays...or do you want the more talented WR that rarely get the ball in their hands?

Probably because the OL wasn't that good this year. Completely inconsistent and gave up tons of negative plays. Hell, we were called for holding at least 5 different times this year. This was not one of Saban's better OLs.

Calvin Ridley is a good receiver and you can say he is a freshman but he is almost 22 years old. Malachi Dupre is just as talented.

Ok. Let me explain it this way, then....

1. It doesn't matter how old Calvin Ridley is. He is on the field.

2. Alabama's receivers finished:
#2
#12
#20 in the SEC receving.

LSU receivers finished:

#13
#23 (LSUs 3rd receiver did not finish in the top 50 of the SEC)

That is my point. It's not a matter of who is more talented, but who gets better utilized. I don't care how talented they are. If you can't get them the ball they cannot be effective. Your coaches do not do a good job of utilizing the talent they have offensively.

I'm one. If you saw the rushing defenses that Fournette got to play against you would understand why. Henry would have looked even better than he did last year while winning the Heisman if he got to play Eastern Michigan and Texas Tech. These were the dead last and next to dead last rushing defenses. Fournette couldn't even get a Heisman invite playing those teams plus South Carolina (ranked around 109), Syracuse (ranked around 80th) and Western Kentucky.

Let's not forget that if Robert Foster hadn't gotten injured in the Ole Miss game, he would have been the "Ridley" of the Alabama receiving corps last year.

And he's healthy now.

Talkin talent wise. Poster earlier said it was ridiculous to compare LSUs Receivers to Bama. Kiffin throws the ball a hell of a lot more than LES and Cameron.

Show me where i said that, please?

I said....PLAINLY.....that if LSU cannot/will not get the ball in the hands of their receivers then what good are they?
You simply cannot give the edge to LSU at receiver if they do not utilize those receivers. Your reading comprehension leaves much to be desired, or you are willfully misrepresenting what I said.

You don't like the roster with the better OL, DL, kicking game, better LB, who is much physically stronger?

What am I missing or is this just a homer post?

Dude. Who's fault is this?

People were comparing the teams player groups to see which team was better. My point was that LSU does not get the ball in the receivers hands. The edge goes to Alabama because, you know...they actually throw to their receivers.

If only what these writers said mattered.

Got to do on the field. It's like spurrier said when he was dominating georgia. "Ya know, they keep talking bout how much more talent georgia has but for some reason we keep winning".

What you posted is very hurtful but true. So let's look at the facts. What LSU didn't have against Bama was depth at the Dline, what LSU didn't have against Bama was an offense that wasn't one dimensional. Now Harris is being coached by a QB Craig, his offensive coach Cameron stays on the sideline, and LSU has depth on the Dline, we'll all see how that all plays out, my guess is it all spells trouble for the Tide.
