Citrus bowl win vs. Minnesota was a Jan 1 game, too.

Citrus is not considered a NY6 Bowl game, though. I am guessing by major bowl game he would betalking about playoff or NY6.

Missouri has had an outstanding year, and your fans should be proud. If you don't get a NY6 bowl game it will be a sham.

Congrats on an outstanding season!

We won Cotton right before the introduction of the NY6. Though one could certainly argue the Cotton Bowl was always premier, especially after it moved to Jerry World. It was definitely the best non-BCS game you could ask for

Agreed.

He should win it, but Saban should be runner up. His mid-season course corrections were brilliant.

I wouldn’t call it disrespect. Mizzou was predicted by many to finish last in the East. Mizzou won 10 games with less talent and fewer resources. Mizzou had the bigger hill to climb.

If the Dawgs win out, it would be hard not to give it to Kirby.

I doubt that Kirby would be upset if Drinkwitz was the choice.

Based on what Kirby has said about Mizzou this season, he indicated that he was very impressed with what he saw while preparing for the game along with his complementary post game comments.

The Liberty Bowl, though historic, never really classified as a “major bowl.” “Major bowls” were the BCS, and now NY6 bowls.

Oh bless. College football existed before 1998, you know.
