I know that tRant is well known to have some of the best football minds in the business, but just for shits and giggles, let's table this thread and see what the NFL scouts have to say on draft day.

You know scouts are now comparing Nkemdiche to Clowney from SC. Very talented player but takes to many plays off and weak between the ears.

I don't think Arkansas is the best common opponent to look at when comparing these two players anyway.

You're probably the same person who will say Wilson is as good if not better than Treadwell.

Nah, apples to oranges. But also Bear isn't anywhere near as polished, I think it's going to be a mistake when he declares this year because he still needs to work on some basic things like catching with his hands, his first instinct is to pull to body and he has balls bobble bounce off his helmet and shite because of it.

Your OP is the same kind of comparison.

As a Texan fan, I get this vibe a lot. Clowney is starting to come along when he is staying healthy but not worth the #1 pick imo. Nkemdiche will be great at the next level if he stays motivated. I don't follow Ole Miss close enough to determine if he is "taking plays off" like Clowney did back in college.

Not really. DT to DT.

Sure, Wilson and Treadwell are both WR's, but they serve completely different roles. Ross would be a better comparison to Treadwell. But even then, we rotate like 10 WR's in so its hard to really compare.

You were more impressed with the guy that wasn't double teamed?

You mean he's statistics were better than the other guy that's an interesting take.

I'm sure NFL scouts share your opinion as well

We should really start using this excuse.

"Kelly has more passing yards than Dak because other teams game plan for Dak."
"Our RB's just suck because they are getting triple teamed every week."

Is Derunya such a a shitty name that your fan base refuses to call him anything other than a nickname created in the past year?

We don't call Laquon Treadwell. Megaquon or Quon at every opportunity.

strange that no one has called him Derunya in about 11 months wtf?

I generally do call him DeRunnya. Bear has been his nickname since high school apparently and that's what the team calls him. This thread may be the first time I've used Bear, just because it was easier to type I guess.

Yeah I was unaware of its origins thanks for the info.

Just see bear everywhere and I have to mentally correlate it to derunya.
