It's snowing and icing in their fricking yankee state right now. They should be up there freezing their man tits off suffering like all yankees do this time of year.

And this year.
Mizzou has accomplished more in 3 years than they have in 23.
And we did it in a rebuilding year while they imploded as prohibitive East favorites.
That's quite the blow to his self-inflated ego, realizing the coots actual place in the pecking order.

Well, Scrooster. I appreciate the shout out. And I really have nothing else to say about all that.
Visit Missouri sometime. You'd love Branson.
I actually do like Branson ... it's like a world unto itself. Cabela's sent us out there, trying to sell us a condo, but we made the most of it and had a good time. Been out there twice actually, once before Andy Williams died. He was one of the greatest singers ever ... Moon River video is my wife's and mine song. Can't get used to losing you video ... another great song of his I grew-up listening to. Andy Williams was the man - a great man in life too.

Damn scrooster, we agree on something. I caught an Andy Williams show down there before he died too. Awesome show and still had that powerful singing voice at his old age.

Well you can learn something in every thread, I didn't know Amy Adams was a Mormon.

The guy was blessed with an incredible voice. He lived a clean life - was a great man. You're right though, his voice was still strong - he actually did two shows the weekend we were there and you would have thought the first show on that Friday night would have worn him out but he repeated it again on Saturday night, flawlessly ... my wife and I are so glad we got to see him in person before he died.
He also came out in the crowd and was shaking hands and autographing things for the second show that Saturday night - he was just a good guy.
I kid about Missouri - I like getting under the skin of some of the kids around here. Missouri has a very unusual history - a lot of diversity and a lot of pretty country. I don't care much for the northern part of the state or St Louis or KC really, but there are a lot of things to like in Missouri.
Rode the Belle of Louisville once, from Louisville to St Louis (long story) and then to Memphis and then to New Orleans. Thought I was king of the world back then - exploring and getting to do things. Never thought it would end. The river was something special back then especially where we skipped over from the Ohio to the Mississippi ... people too often forget the connection with the big ditch and Missouri. I've actually got a lot of fond memories of Missouri.

It was back then ... does it still exist? I remember they used to have these river boat races between The Belle of Louisville and the Dixie Queen, or was it the Delta Queen ... I can't remember I just remember the races back in the 60s and 70s and what a big deal they were - ABC Wide World of Sports would broadcast them.

I'll give respect for the effort.
I doubt those girls are Mormon, especially due to their immodest clothing and the two girls kissing. If they are Mormon, they only look that way because we thinned out the herd and shallowed out the gene pool enough to make them hot. For this we do not apologize.

It was the Delta Queen as I think she used to run out of Cincinnati down to NOLA and back. It was a huge race and run during Derby Week as party of the Derby festivities. Been at least a decade or 2 since I have been on the Queen and at least half of that since I was on the Belle.

Yep ... I think maybe the Delta Queen ran out of Cincy and the Dixie Queen ran out of Memphis maybe. All the great rivertowns had their riverboats back then. I can't remember which paddle boat NOLA had but even in the late 70s I remember seeing them there.

Yet another thing lost on the youth of today. Nothing beats slow transportation.
Trains and boats had real cooks who made the food right on the spot and you had dining spaces and drinking spaces in the unique transportation vehicle. Now you ride like a sardine in a plane with maybe a beverage in flight. If you do get food it was prepared weeks before and nuked into a crappy blob.

That is precious, take your week of travel and meals if you want. But it only takes 2 - 3 hours to get across the country so you don't have to eat in that time span and can go enjoy fine dining in your destination of choice.
