Lacey was behind a better line this year than richardson was in '10 imo.

This...

He will be productive because Alabama will have a damn good offensive line. I just don't expect him to be as big of a threat as TR when it comes to rushing and receiving. He just isn't as talented as TR was.

I'm thinking you don't know shite about defense.

2nd, 3rd, and 4th string backs always look better than the starter when a defense is already gasping for air.

You must not understand how to comprehend things, then. I know that. But his YPC was much better than Trent's when Trent was backing up Ingram, and TR turned out to be an incredible starting RB.

It has nothing to do with the defense.

Neither Richardson in '10 or Lacey in '11 were mop up backs.

I dont think he will get trents numbers. He is a good back and will put up nice numbers, also he is one of the few la recruits that left la and hasn't turned out to be a shite head.

I could be productive running behind that offensive line that has mastered how to get away with holding. Yes, they will both be overrated going to the NFL like Ingram.

So basically my answer to your question is yes.

You know better than this. Mop up duty is held for our 3rd and 4th string guys. Our 2nd string back works in and out during the same timeframe of the game that our starter is in. When Nick pulls the starter for mop up, he pulls the 2nd string guy too for the most part. He may let the 2nd string guy get 1 more drive in before he goes to 3rd, but thats it.

I will say this now, and you can bookmark it and throw it back in my face later if you want.

Eddie Lacy will be a better all around and complete back than Trent Richardson.

And it will have nothing to do with the line in front of him. He has more talent than Trent. Trent was more determination than he was talent, which is saying a lot because he had a lot of talent too. But his pure strength carried him a lot of places his talent wouldnt have had he not been so fricking strong. Eddie Lacy on the hand IMO has that talent. He reminds me a LOT of Bobby Humphries in his size and mobility.

Just my opinion though. Headed home from work. Catch yall tomorrow.

I think Lacy will be a great back for sure, not so sure he has that breakaway speed like BATMFR had though.

Lacy will break the SEC career YPC record, if he gets enough carries this year to qualify.
