Possibly, but even the most biased Alabama fans have to admit that this is out of character for Saban. It reeks of desperation and distraction.

Out of character, yes. Don't think it is desperation. Have to think it is some weird adjustment crisis though. He has said he is about building not sustaining. So I guess it is his version of no complacency. Has a potential to really backfire though. Adding Coach O to the equation really ups that potential. Of course he may be long retired before the consequences are really felt.

Did I miss something? Why is UA hiring a bunch of recruiters? They get who they want already. Maybe the Fluker fiasco got the pipeline cut off. We saw what happens when you have a staff full of recruiters. Saban is turning into Chizik.
