Ole miss leads 13 to 10 at half loses 31 to 20. Turnovers one resulting into a pick six seals the deal.

plenty of Gumptards in here thinking that this team is better than last year

I think there's a good chance this team could be better than last year (or at least as good), and I'm pretty far from a gumptard. That doesn't mean we'll win a national championship or even win in Oxford Saturday.

Bama by 10-15.

Ole Miss's lack of a running threat is the difference.

It's all about turnovers. If Bama doesn't turn it over they won't win a game by less than 10 no matter who they play.

Until the OL and RBs step up it won't be the case. In regards of the D it is far to soon to say they are better. After watching the game I would take nothing away from the USCw win. Rosen, JuJu & Associates is no where near the team that the media thought was going to rivals Pete Carroll teams of yesteryear.

In reality it is going to come down to the Ole Miss secondary. If they 3RD & WOMMACK we loose. I have not been very impressed with the generic passing game that Lane has implemented with Hurts & Barrnett....but the again our secondary coverage makes average QBs look like future HOF caliber QBs.

Kelly can make up for lack of a run threat. Saban's Achilles has always been a QB that can convert third downs with his feet. Kelly can convert on third with his legs.

This means Saban either has to spy him on third down (which opens up passing options), or hope his defense can get to him before he breaks containment in the pocket.

Meh, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of our players, scheme and overall units. I think this group has less depth up front than last year but is better at each level and has no weak spot. But yea, they will have tests starting this weekend to prove that.

I mean, USC isn't a Top 10 team, but they are a Top 40 team and we beat them by 50 points. If you don't want to take anything away from that then that's your prerogative.

We didn't need one against USC, and Western Kentucky was a glorified practice session for Hurts to work tough throws in a real game. We'll see a lot of RPO stuff this week and a whole lot more misdirection roll outs with guys dragging the middle. Will it work? Who knows.

I'm concerned about Ole Miss' front creating havoc and causing turnovers from a true freshman QB making his first road start in a hostile environment. If he does that, we'll have trouble winning.

Bama's D is wicked.

Ehh, Lane is trying shite out right now - getting his green QB some reps in live action. I'm concerned with the oline/running game and hope they gel this week.

This is going to be a hard fought game and probably low scoring.
