Hurts is 100x the QB Etling is and has the potential to be very good. He will win a championship and usher the Tagovailoa era in. We'll get his little bro who's just as good! Bama is set at QB for the foreseeable future. I heard another Purdue QB is thinking about xfering though.....yall need to jump on that. ASAP

I see I struck another nerve. Sorry about that, again.

Ahh you're really giving yourself too much credit. What nerve did you strike again? Quit thinking you have the ability to effect me in any way.

I have a feeling this is the part you say something about melting or I'm skeerd.

I asked a question about Hurts and you went on a angry rant about Etling.

Nah. I'm just sorry that Hurts being trash bothers you so much.

All he has to do is improve his deep and intermediate ball and then he becomes scary.

So if he learns how to throw he'll be a good QB? Way to go out on a limb

Improving and learning are not the same thing. You act like he's on Etling's level of passing. He's a much better QB and football player.

Yeah, why would he regress as a player? If anything he'll throw even more this year. I know this is hard for you to comprehend but freshmen get better.

Hurts and Bo should both have big years in new Bama OC Chip Kelly's system.

Literally the only reason Hurts is on there is because he plays for Alabama.

Yeah-that.

Or maybe it's because he just had arguably the best true freshman season a QB has ever had, and only two teams in the SEC were successful in slowing him down(LSU and UF.) and against LSU, he made game defining plays that put points on the board.

Not to mention that he will have the best supporting cast in college football.

Do you think Hurts would have the same value and recognition if he didn't play for Bama?

I'm not disagreeing that he's a good/great QB, I just think the team he plays for benefits him way more than his actual ability.

What do you think of his ability?

As you said, needs to work on his intermediate/long passes. Those are crucial for a QB.

Great mobility. Can be wonky with his reads leading to mistakes, but what freshman hasn't missed a read?

Again, I don't think he's bad at all. Just think he's getting some extra love because of the team he plays for. Not like there's anything wrong with that. I wouldn't even be shocked if he did end up winning it.

Odds are odds though. Actually didn't realize he was slated at 20/1. That's fair, I suppose.

That may well be true but here is thing. Alabama signs beasts all over the place which means they will always have a solid O-line, a running game and receivers etc. Hurts does not have to be a "great" QB for them to succeed. Their running attack and O-line protection and receivers gives him all he needs. Then add a year of experience to that ON TOP of Nick Saban defenses.
