I can't say I ever remember CBS doing SEC games the 1st or 2nd week of the season

The Auburn/Louisville game should be decent, not a bad get for CBS.
Georgia/Vandy on the other hand... Well we will get a chance to see what Georgia is bringing to the table next season.

They've always had the U.S. Open coverage.

People who have watched football longer than 5 years would realize that UGA/SC has been the first CBS game of the year (in week 2) for like 13 of the last 15 years.

Speaking of Mizzou v Arkansas I hope the teams both wear their home colors again.

Don't understand this one. There is Oklahoma/Tenn and Mississippi State/LSU on that date. I can understand one of them getting prime time, but I would think the other would get the 3:30 slot.

Were contracts renegotiated at all since the SECn launch? Like, does CBS have to have each team on it at least once?

LSU has a handshake agreement limiting day games in Tiger Stadium as part of their bending over and taking scheduling concessions that others in the conference enjoy. A night game in Tiger Stadium is a better spot than a day game. So basically, Auburn sucks and they have to play during the day.
ETA: The game is at State, so this theory is wrong and stupid. My bad.
