"I do find it funny that Baylor is now the class of Texas now with inferior talent to Texas and A&M."

It's because they play in CRAP conference with 1-2 better than average teams.

I agree though #12 might be a tad high for A&M but as the talent level (especially on D) continues to build, then top 10 rankings every year will be the norm.
ALso, without Johnny's freelancing, the offense might actually resemble what SUmlin has always had in mind and what we haven't seen as much of this year.

OBVIOUSLY losing a talent like Manziel will hurt, but maybe not quite as bad as some think. Manziel put us ahead of the curve, but the overall team will be getting better.

I'm more concern about the coaching on defense than the talent you brought in at A&M. Tennessee has had talent ,but it not actually getting them far. Also, Baylor would beat the Aggies. You didn't beat a ranked team all year and had shootouts with plenty of unranked teams. Don't hide behind the SEC banner and downgrade the accomplishments of other teams because they aren't SEC.

Baylor's OOC was pathetic, and the Big 12 this year was a joke. It has nothing do with "hiding behind the SEC banner". They literally played nobody this year other than Okie State. And no, OU doesn't count, they are terrible and will get steamrolled by Bama.

These rankings are garbage.

8. Ohio St: If Braxton leaves for the draft, they will be lucky to win 9 games
10. UCF: reports indicate Blake Bortels may declare for the draft, so no
12. A&M: No Johnny, enough said
13. SCAR: Uh?
14. Louisville: No Teddy, average team
15. USC: will take a Sark a year to get acclimated
17. Clemson: Who is going to play QB?
18. UGA: too high, defense will still suck arse
23. Florida: dear god help us all

I disagree with the majority of the posters here. Georgia is ranked to low.

Georgia will win the East next year and finish the season much higher than 18.

No way UF should sniff the top 25 on the beginning of the year poll.

Not only is it stupid to say a new QB is going to be an issue for Alabama because of our recent history with first year starters.

This years national championship game features 1st year starters at QB, but apparently that will be too much for Alabama.

I can see Alabama being ranked in the top 5 easily. The only thing that seems like it can deteriorate a Bama offense is when they lose 2-3 offensive lineman. It almost seems like nearly every other offensive position on Bama's team is plug and play when Saban has an experienced offensive line to work with.

Sure. Its only 8 months away from next season. I can almost accept any order and not really care at this point.

I'd rank GA higher. It's so fun to watch them tumble down the rankings during the season.

They do deserve to be higher, but not by much. Maybe around 15.

And I do think that we should be ranked. Look around the league at what competent coaching can do in one year. Our defense has never been a problem. Hopefully this year we will make strides on offense (which would be virtually impossible not to do), so I see no reason to not be ranked.

Baylor 2014 = A&M 2013

Offensive talent coming back but defensive losses will be too much to overcome. Will score but won't stop anyone

Being realistic is never fun in College Football my friend.

However, Dawgs with an entire defense returning, solid QB in Hudson Mason taking Murray's spot, two great running backs in their JR years, and a solid recruiting class thus far will be hard to beat. Georgia will finish in top 10.

I think Bama would be somewhere JUST outside of the top 5, losing Steen, CyKO and McCarron.

Still will end up top 10 because they're so talented all around.

Brand recognition alone will keep them in the top 5. May not be deserved but it will happen. Sort of how OU was top 5-10 for the past decade despite not living up to it
