So they have 2009 UF when they got crushed by GMac and Alabama in the SECCG, but they don't have 2006 UF when they crushed tOSU in the BSCNCG? Ummm...

And no mention of our 01 team at all.

72 over 93?

All time? What about those badasses in 1913?

Interesting post, but I can assure you that Alabama's 2011 team was better than the 2009 team. The number of players from the UA/LSU rosters of the 2011 BCSNCG who were drafted is staggering.

I would also argue that the 2009 team had the toughest schedule in UA history. 1978 would be close because it's one of the toughest OOC schedules an SEC team has ever booked, but the SEC as a whole was weaker then.

2009 UA is the only team in the history of the NCAA to defeat 10 bowl teams. It's also the only team in the history of the NCAA to defeat two 13 win teams. You don't get a tougher schedule than that.

Easily.

Good point. I wonder how much consideration was given to that era.

No disrespect to 2009 Bamas schedule, but when you say you don't get a tougher schedule than that, no.

2009 Bamas schedule is the toughest bama has ever played, but I doesn't even make the top 3 for AU.

To put that 10 bowl team stat in context, in two fewer games, 1983 AU played 9, when there were HALF as many bowls. In 1983 terms it would be like 2009 bama beat 4 bowl teams.
