Keep in mind, I only went back to 1936 (AP Poll Era)

**Each school's longest streak without a losing season**

Florida: 33 (1980-2012)
Alabama: 26 (1958-1983)
Ole Miss: 24 (1950-1973)
Arkansas: 22 (1968-1989)
Texas A&M: 20 (1983-2002)
LSU: 18 (2000-present & 1957-1974)
Tennessee: 17 (1936-1953)
Auburn: 13 (1953-1965)
Georgia: 13 (1997-2009 & 1964-1976)
Missouri: 13 (1957-1969)
Kentucky: 11 (1946-1956)
South Carolina: 11 (2004-2014)
Mississippi St: 9 (1939-1948)
Vanderbilt: 6 (1946-1951)

**Longest Active Streaks in the SEC**

LSU: 18 (2000-present)
Alabama: 11 (2007-present)
Texas A&M: 8 (2010-present)
Georgia: 7 (2011-present)
Auburn: 5 (2013-present)
Kentucky: 2 (2016-present)

--Observation--
6-7 seasons have halted a few streaks. Most notably, Georgia would be on an active 21 year streak if we were only doing regular season games. Alabama would be on an active 14 year streak as well.

So, LSU did play football prior to 2000.
TIL.

No shite, let's go ahead and lose to Georgia Southern just to make sure the corpse is good and dead.

If it wasn't for that freakin' 1988 5-6 season, UT would have had a 24 year streak from 81-2004...but, if you lose to Duke at home...then you have no freakin' excuse.

Over half of the SEC has had a losing season over the last two seasons?

With the 4 game OOC schedule today, it is hard to have a losing season. Something really dysfunctional has to happen, especially with the Big 6.

You might wanna look up who Duke's coach was at the time.

Unfortunately, yes.

Florida, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Arkansas in 2017.

South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Mississippi St and Ole Miss in 2016.

All losing seasons.
