What is that crap? What is the purpose? Walk of Champions is #1, but this has to be #2.

Donated what? Bricks?
Was this the NC as named byFarmer's Almanac or some other obscure, Non Sports magazine, or did they use Bama standards and just claim it?

NCAA recognizes it. Deal with it.

That's weird. The NCAA's website says Southern Cal.

To be fair, it's recognized by both the College Football Data Warehouse and Winsipedia.

The Heisman statues at Florida. The idea isn't bad; it's just that the statues are horrible-looking. Same thing with Florida's Ring of Honor. It looks cheap and tacky.

I also gotta admit... Tebow's Promise is kind of dumb.

LSU is building a statue for Pete Maravich outside of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

While I am extremely biased to haing everything named for him , it just epitomises what our administration has become.

Long story short, people complained Pete Maravich did not have a statue while other legends did, LSU quickly to please everyone plans on building one. (Obviously you could name anything or build anything related to LSU basketball after him or Shaq, and it could pass.)

But simply put for a man that would have never wanted the building named after him after all, it's not that it seems too much, but personally not needed and a waste.

Also he is my favorite athlete, and basketball player of all-time. I am extremely biased because of personal reasons, this is stupid.

I don't see a problem. Pistol Pete would be on the Mt. Rushmore of cbb players.

Do they have his sweet homosexual tears bottled up and buried under the promise?

Saban statue is probably second. Putting up a statue of someone who is still at the school is a big head scratcher.

The only issue with the Saban statue is that it looks awful. They really need to redo it.

I don't like any statues dedicated to individual players. Sends the wrong message, given that football is the very definition of a team sport.

There is no real "problem" like I said he is one of if not the greatest cbb of all-time. I guess we luckily do not have that many things that could be considered "dumb" dedications . Just trying to add, I do not know I guess knowing he did not want anything named after him, it personally seems kind of dumb because he would probably hate it.

And OM fans want to know why the Rant hates OM so much!!!
I've never seen such a pretentious Fan Base that is more motivated and concerned with an individual win over their two main Conference rivals.

Everybody else wants a Divisional or Conference Championship, but the PC Bears seem obsessed with and are perfectly satisfied with an occasional win over State and LSU.

They could care less about an S.E.C. Championship and the Universe has provided them with their desire.

Championship? What Championship? We don't care bout no Championships. We just care about the Bulldog Bowl and Tiger Bowl twice a season. ................

Until I saw this thread, I was unaware of Tebow's Promise.
I am still too stunned to clearly state my feelings about it.

Yeah. I suppose you Gumps should revel in every moment of Saban's time there, because once he leaves, it'll be a long time for you to find success.

This line of thinking makes sense...coming from a fan whose football success is compressed into 18 years.
