Did I read this correctly - you set your standard of success at B- ?
did you miss the 'damn it for not trying from day one' part? that should have given you a clue to the answer you're seeking. i underachieved in college, i should have waited a few years before i went. i'm sure i would have been a better student.
and no, i said 'b' not 'b-', note the spacing of the dash. does any college do the + and -?
Hindsight is always 20/20 after college. If I could go back in time, I would tell myself to put down the beer and set my alarm to not miss so many damn classes. The sad truth is my younger self would have just ignored me.

No, but from your post it seemed that you felt that pulling off a B(-) salvaged your grade.

No doubt. I did the same as an undergrad.

So then your answer is "Yes, you DID misread the post."
(Although the way you typed that certainly looks like it was intended to be a B-. I doubt I'm alone in that interpretation.)

I can't speak to that without knowing what every college does. It would have required a huge assumption for me to interpret your sentence that way because "nobody uses pluses and minuses".

I believe he intended to say "b" then used the dash to explain the previous statement

Apparently I forgot how my original question was worded and typed a response in the opposite case.
If you had studied throughout the term in your logic course, I think you would have figured that out.

So you honestly think we pay a guy 14 figures to come play for us, and get away with it, but can't keep a stud eligible?

I just finished my masters degree 6 months ago and some classes used the +/-. I got boned as I got two A- and all A/A+ so no 4.0 despite not getting below a 93 average in any class .
I think in undergrad though, it would have been a net neutral effect because i typically got a low A or a high B.
Just an FYI in case people didnt know:
A/A+ = 4.0
A- = 3.66
B+ = 3.33
B = 3.0
B- = 2.67
etc.

This is kind of bullshite if they are not going to have >4.0 score for A+. We had that in law school (I think ours was A+ = 4.3, A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, etc), but typically only 1 person per class received the A+ for "booking" the class. Most classes seem to be a straight up bell curve method of grading.

Looks like Duke can't beat out Pharoh Cooper on the field, or in the classroom.
