California isn't in the South. They don't take sports as seriously. Skateboarding is more popular than football. Although I'm sure there have been plenty of years CA had the most players drafted 1st round.

Look at the players per capita, Louisiana still leads even after a poor draft this year.

That, and Cali also doesn't have that huge of an AA population. We have a huge hispanic population, if they were good at football we'd dominate

and california dominates the sport because of its population. california has always been the mecca of baseball in this country, i think it was last year that california basically had double the amount of players in the majors than texas which was the next closest state

Very odd considering how much we talk about how talent rich that state is.

I wonder if that's an anomaly.

I've said this from day one. I've always heard how much talent comes from that state and it does produce talent. No moreso than any other SEC team not named Florida or Georgia. though.

Well no shite LA doesn't produce as much talent as FL or GA, it's a state with barely 4.5 million people.

It's always been stated that LA produces a huge amount of talent per capita, which is backed up by the numbers.

The state of Florida having 50% more picks than a state with twice its population is pretty impressive.

Not really, Florida and Louisiana are down just a few players from last year. When our fans want to fire coaches because they believe we have the most talent. That's why I say the per capita argument is bullshite. Look at Alabama for example. Even if auburn and Bama split those players, its still more than LA. Look at Florida, they have enough talent for 4 teams to split prospects and still have more talent than anyone in the country.

IMO this is more telling on how UGA doesn't win the east every year.

But that argument doesn't equal any coach can come to LSU and win the sec west every year. Which our idiot fans think would happen if we had any other coach but Miles.
