Why did Tenn hire a Georgia guy to begin with?

Talked with a buddy of mine yesterday after game and told him y'all are in good hands. Dooley is a good coach and once he gets some depth, which you currently don't have, y'all are to be a good team. You have to give him 4 years, let him get his players for his system.

I agree Dooley needs time and most people will tell you that. There are some dumb asses that say fire him after this year but for the most part everyone is behind Dooley and that includes me.

Tards are already saying UF should fire Muschamp and Charlie Weis.

It's ridiculous but not surprising here.

Farthest thing from an inbred, but whatever makes you sound good on the message board.

I understand the circumstances that Dooley walked in to. I am upset at the lack of improvement. We have talent, but the technique is awful, it was pathetic that CBS announcers were schooling the staff on proper technique of a DB. The many times we have had a brain fart when getting plays in, he is losing this team. Any fan that says they are excited about what they have seen thus far is lying. Up until yesterday we had -29 rushing yards in S.E.C. play. Wait, we are inexperienced right? Wrong this O-line started all of last year with a 1,000 yard rusher. We should have been better, but no improvement. Actually we took a step backwards.

Sure Dooley is a great guy, but that does not mean he has the ability to win at the level that is expected at Tennessee. I will be the first guy to eat crow and admit I was wrong. I hope I am, but as of now I have seen no reason to think otherwise.

We've got converted WRs playing DB and you want to bitch about technique. STFU. Our defensive backfield has been swapped around with people playing different spots. Look how well the damn defense played the #1 team in the nation until they got tired. There is NO ONE to sub from the bench....NO ONE. Our first team played #1 pretty damn well and if it weren't for our backup QB throwing the INT and giving LSU the ball on the 5 yard line....the first half would have been even closer. NO IMPROVEMENT??? You're blind dude.

As far as the conditioning comment earlier in the thread.....they are 18/19 year old kids playing juniors and seniors that have been through 3/4 years of D1 conditioning. Hard to square them up with one year of working out on the collegiate level.

This thread is chuck full of dumbfrick.

as well as keeping this game closer
this may have been covered, but Dooley did keep this game close...until depth took over.

you can't count on depth just yet in your second year, especially this year when you're plagued with injuries out of the arse.

Dooley's changing the culture of UT...2 years isn't enough to rid the stench of Kiffin from that program.

Firing Dooley would be a huge mistake. Even talking about it is dumb.

Tenn is a tradition rich program and if you really support him, yell loud, cheer often, and sing rocky top. Oh hell, forget that.

Tenn is down but it wasn't too many years ago you were kicking our butts year after year. I hate to think it, but one day you will again. It is a cycle. Good Luck Vols, Hang tough, we gonna kick your arse this weekend!

Excuses, Excuses.

When did Teague convert? So 1 DB converted not DBs.

LSU had the first string in for 95% of the game, so your excuse is not making sense.

Simms does blow, I agree 100% and the coaching staff had no choice. The ONE bright spot was the drive where we ran the ball UP THE MIDDLE. What happened after that drive, we tried running the outside, so instead of sticking with what worked the staff goes to something that did not, then tried it numerous times.

You're beyond help my friend. We had the ball offensively twice in the second half. TWICE. We are not the UT of old and no one expects us to be. We are getting better, and played an excellent half of football except for two major mistakes. The coaches had the team ready to play TO THEIR ABILITIES against the #1 team in the country. Gameplan was sound....QB play was what I thought it would be......poor.

I can't explain it to you any easier than that. We just don't have the depth/talent to play with top tier SEC teams yet. You're going to have to be patient like the rest of us until we can fill out physically and in numbers. I hate to tell you but until these freshmen/soph get to be juniors/seniors, with the addition of some good classes, you CANNOT judge this coaching staff. It's not fair and you're simply not being realistic. You act like he inherited a full roster from the late 90's. He inherited shite talent and what was here LEFT. Give him TIME.
